Okay......but those pictures do not shed much info as to what really occurred that lead to the event other then it clearly happened under the bridge.

They aren't even sure the kid shot was throwing rocks. If this kid was in Mexican territory then he was out of the jurisdiction of the BP and the BP should have just retreated from the area. However after reading the article again I see where they stated that the BP was surrounded which seems to contradict the claim that the rock throwers were in Mexico. If thats truly the case then it seems it may have been a justified shoot. No it isn't and the border is nominal when your are right there. The two may have only been feet apart when he was throwing the rocks, which the BP saw as a continued threat. A lot of that area is dry low grass so the BP may have had nowhere to go for cover. You would have been in an uproar if he went across the border and beat the shit out of the kid so he could only respond one other way and that was with his weapon. That kid, by his actions, seemed like trouble. Instead of returning home he chose to attack the BPs who were doing their jobs. IMHO, he definitely deserved what he got.
Yes I'm a poor typist.1 sentence, 26 words, no punctuation, so much fail.
Nothing personal about this situation for me, I'm against illegals entering our country. What made me think this was a bad shoot is that I was under the impression that the rock throwing was coming from the Mexican side of the border. After looking back at the article it stated that the BP was surrounded by rock throwers. If that was the case and the BP was in US territory then obviously the rock throwers had to also be in US territory to be able to surround them. If so then the shooting seems to have been justified. From the chain of responses you've given so far it is obvious that you want to pass judgment based on personal reasons and not information.

You're under the delusion that someone attacking you from their own sovereignty and jurisdiction is free to do so with no repercussions.
LMFAO.
surely world opinion will turn on the US and demand that they take down their illegal border with Mexico.
Well we will see.I know that if it was someone from South Korea throwing a rock at a North Korean Border Guard they'd definitely would be shot at. I would like to think that we're better than the North Koreans. You're under the delusion that someone attacking you from their own sovereignty and jurisdiction is free to do so with no repercussions.

I don't believe it had anything to do with racism, just a BP agent panicking in a situation that he should never have been put in.Pretty much.
Its amazing how much shit we do just to protect ourselves and we are instantly violent racists who need to give up their horrible ways.
Of course, when you look at all the shit we do which isnt justified, its easy to understand why the world would always be pissed off at us.

It seems that they aren't sure if this 14 year old kid who was shot was even throwing rocks.
We have more to protect than North Korea.
Not to mention 11 million criminals wandering around unchecked every day.

Depends on the situation. If he really was facing a situation where firing his gun was the only way to insure that he and his fellow officers wouldn't be injured than maybe it was justified. However if just by retreating to a distance where the rocks wouldn't be a threat then that would have been the correct thing to do.That's not the point. If someone launches a Nuke at you from few thousands kliks away, their distance or them doing so on their own soil bears no relevance to defense or retaliation.
You were trying to say the BP had no right to fire back when being assaulted from another country's soil. That's retarded.

At this time we really don't know the whole situation so it's a bit premature to say what they did was wrong.
Or we can just do it your way, shoot them on sight if they look like they are about to cross the border.Get them on their side so we don't have to deal with our pesky laws.Maybe the Mexicans can just throw rocks far enough and long enough to push their way onto US soil while getting a green card. That's what border patrols should do after all, retreat.
By any chance, are you French? However if just by retreating to a distance where the rocks wouldn't be a threat then that would have been the correct thing to do.
nope.No, are you North Korean?
nope.
The reason I asked if you are french should be obvious. But, just out of curiosity, what have I said that would lead you to such a silly rebuttal?
I kinda figured that's where he was going, but I wanted him to spell that out so that I could then make it clear to him that I do not condone shooting anyone/everyone at the borders, and that I've never said anything that would suggest otherwise. He, on the other hand, suggested retreat as the solution -- so questioning whether or not he is French makes complete sense. After all, the need to retreat is in their blood...i know i know!!! the nk's just shoot anyone who comes near the border... it's in another thread...
