Honestly, doesn't really surprise me that he would nominate a POS like Bolton. He just wants to surround himself with yes-men. While he's at it, he should nominate a 70" TV with 24 hr Sean Hannity as his next cabinet secretary.

We'll probably see a war, because Trump needs a distraction. It will backfire rather spectacularly.

While Bolton is a giant shithead it’s important to remember McMaster was a pretty big warmonger in his own right. I don’t see what this change is other than a loss of dignity and a gain of facial hair.

WaPo is saying Hannity will replace Kelley tomorrow as chief of staff.

That may be a joke but I actually think that would be a good thing. Get that piece of shit off the air and shining trumps balls where he belongs.

Chill out people. You all have BDS - Bolton derangement syndrome.

He's just a dumb ass old man with no career prospects and no power. Bolton is being brought on as a mere advisor. He's not secretary of anything. Unless Trump authorizes it, he can't do it. That brings me to my final point: Remember, Putin is in charge here - he is Trump's boss. Putin does not want US fighting wars with Syria or Iran. Putin simply wants to make the US look weak and incompetent on the world stage. A real war is not the way to do that.

I'm calling it now: Trump will saber rattle endlessly and nothing will actually happen.

This Bolton thing is just an investment in liberal tears. Who else could he hire that would literally terrify liberals all over the world?

Oompa loompa doompety dee
If you are wise you'll listen to me

What do you get when you work for a fool
Who thinks you're condescending 'cause you take him to school
What are you at, dealing with a dingbat
What do you think will come of that?
I don't like the sound of it

It is sad that the most dovish member of this new national security team is the Secretary of Defense. The rest of these guys are raging morons who have none or very limited military experience (Pompeo as a jr. officer in the Gulf War).

Only the best people....

Iran is for sure getting nukes. That is the real downside of Bolton because he will terminate the Iran deal and saber rattle. Iran probably has already begun to work on restarting its program covertly but the endless threats and the end of the nuclear deal will expedite the process.

Sucks for Israel, dozens't really affect us here in the US apart from having to watch the news every day

McMaster was, but he was relatively restrained compared to Bolton as I remember. We went from really bad to completely awful.

I hope I'm being paranoid, but I'm going to gather every scrap of medical evidence to use to protect my son from a draft.

The most pathetic thing is that Americans haven't figured out that they are already at war on their own soil.

How many times does Trump have to declare it?

Ya, the co-founder of the Groundswell/Turning Point projects. Surely, no reason to fear for Bolton getting the National Security Advisor position. Bolton has more ideological clout compared to McMaster. Mostly meaning that whatever McMaster failed to do for Trump, Bolton will most definitely be able to do.

It is will be interesting how far Bolton will go in the same time span as McMaster.

It's not the same thing as many can attest. Not even close. I have no words which fully describe my contempt for Trump, but a shooting war is a threat to young lives in ways you can't imagine and frankly I'm glad for

I think McMaster has some respect for the Truth. Bolton never has, of course, being a Neocon fanatic.

We've been through this before, haven't we? It's not like the invasion of Iraq was any kind of success, nor has been our adventure in Afghanistan, either. The same can be said for trickle down Reaganomics. And yet here we are.

Bolton will go as far as Putin lets him. He will not be allowed to attack Iran or Syria. He may be allowed to attack North Korea because Putin knows they'd kick our ass if we tried anything (thus fulfilling his desire of humiliating the US).

I wouldn't worry about it and it should be good for some laughs.

I highly doubt Putin will be able to stop an erect war boner from Bolton. The guy just finds more reasons to get even more erect than before with prospects of war.

He really, really wants a war with Putin. This has been going on since 2008 when he did his opinion piece "Russia Unromanticized", etc.
