I never liked McDonalds burgers, I have had maybe one in the last 30 years. But no other McDonalds type place beats them on breakfast imo. For fast burgers my go to is Whataburger.

you have whataburger but apparently haven't tried breakfast there.

weird.

protip: get the jalapeno cheese biscuit for your honey butter chicken strip sandwich.

Nope ... at least not around here. :(

Plain Mcdouble's appear to be off the menu & something called the "Bacon Mcdouble" is now $2 each instead of 2 for $2.50. A tiny amount of droopy tasteless McD bacon is hardly worth nearly double the price.
apparently? did you, oh, i dunno, maybe go into a mcdonalds and look at the menu? maybe try to order one? because "apparently" doesn't sound like you did.

Of course I have, but I know what I will get when I go to McDonalds. I have had a few too many taquitos and sausage and egg biscuits at Whataburger that had undercooked eggs for me to not worry about getting it again. If I get some undercooked eggs from McDonalds then it will be back to a toss up on what breakfast I prefer.

For chicken in the morning you will have to pry the Chick Fil A chicken biscuit out of my cold dead hands, but I don't much like chicken in the morning.

Yes I did they still make McDouble's but not 2 for $2.50.

(note ymmv it depends on the franchise. If its corp-owned it will have the new value-menu private its up to them)

The Mcdouble was the only thing worth a buck. No way I'm paying $2 for a Mcdouble. Rather go to Burger King. I prefer Carl's Jr or Arby's though.

There is a Steak & Shake in the next town over and they are pretty damn good and we have a Culvers which is good too. I like the root beer.

Carl's Jr/Hardee's is the best national fast food chain hamburger to me. I love their thick burgers. They aren't cheap but I love the guacamole bacon thick burger.

So I had the bacon McDouble for $2 last month.

Not a better value than the $1.50 McDouble.
2 little strips of bacon. Combined, it's Like 2/5 the size of a full strip of bacon. :(

Also, McD app has most sandwiches for $1 till at least end of month.

As long as the hot and spicy is still $1, I don’t care what anything else costs.

McDangles prices have never had to make sense. I recall the 10pc nuggets being $3.99 when the 20pc was $4.99. Presumably this was to screw over people who got the 10pc "value meal". There used to be 4pc nuggets for $1, meaning you could get 12 pieces for less than the 10 piece.

Right now they have a double cheeseburger for $1.89 or so, and the triple cheeseburger is $3. All for one extra piece of beef. Last I saw the quarter pounder is up to $4.29!! WTF? Sonic has a 1/4lb jr double cheeseburger which I think tastes better and it costs just a bit over $2. At $4.29, I'd much rather spend an extra $2 or so and get a burger from a Five Guys or some other higher end fast food or fast casual type place.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of buffoons they have making these decisions.

since McD android app has $1 almost any sandwich this week, I decided on their steak breakfast sandwich.
(2 separate days)

steak, egg, cheese bagel is $4 normally.
steak, egg, cheese McMuffin is $4.20.

since when does English muffins cost more than a bagel?
the only thing I can think of is egg mix from a carton is cheaper than fresh egg.

I don't know how long it's been that way, but English muffins cost more than bagels here (at the grocery store). $2 for six bagels, $2.60 for six muffins.

I've been a fan of McDonald's food since I was sitting in a high chair but they've really gone to shit (though it could be my local restaurants). The last couple times I went there were particularly bad but it's been going on for a while. The food is NEVER hot, hell not even WARM, and the buns were kinda crusty. The fries were lukewarm at best. I wanna tweet a pic I took of the cheeseburger with unmelted cheese to McDonald's and ask "what the fuck is going on here?" I think it's mainly because it's staffed by people who just don't give a fuck and do a piss poor job and just slap things together. Oh but I'm sure if they made $15 an hour they'd make great, hot, food! Anyway. It's a real shame... shit man, back in high school I remember going to McD's for lunch sometimes and the food was HOT and so good (to be precise that was in the U.P. of Michigan and I'm in metro Detroit now)! Just a shame.

$1 sandwiches from now until September 30th on the app. It cannot be beat from a price/calorie/satiety ratio.

When I see that menu graphic I cannot help but be reminded by the escort (prostitutes) service price sheets for their individual workers.

quality definitely is a store to store thing. We have 3 local and one is always bad, one is sometimes good, and another is always good.

Just found out that with the app, you can add syrups to coffee for free.
Hazelnut sucks tho, unless they gave me the sugar free version :(
