I miss the original McD's fries, crispy delicious treats fried in beef fat. Now they are garbage fried in deadly [for me] canola oil.

Oh look. ATOT, home of the only people in the world who don't eat McD's. I'm calling shens.

I love the McDouble and the McChicken. That is practically all I eat there. Cheap and tastey...but no I don't eat there a lot.

You dont need to buy the crap to enjoy food from McD. I like the $3.99 Home Style burger. The freshly cooked 100% Beef patties cost more but taste good.

Yeah I remember either very late 90's or early 00's when they had the $.29 and $.39 promotion...that was a deal

Heh, that reads like marketing. They're all freshly cooked (until they sit, which the McDoubles won't around lunch and dinner time rushes) and all 100% beef, except for the rumors that they might bring the new McVegan burger to the US.

With the new value menu, no more 2for $2.50 menu. :(

McDoubles are now $1.70 at my local McDonald's. :(

So what's the clear value item now, if any?

Yea it was super cheap for hamburgers on one day and cheeseburgers on another day.

I remember $0.25 hamburgers when I was a kid. The problem was my dad would drop $5 on a bagfull. I love him dearly, but he didn't always instill the best eating habits.

We're all Bitcoin millionaires now, though, so we're eating the $11 burgers at Shake Shack, right? ;)

LOL, they removed the McDouble and added the cheeseburger (for $1). Meh, prices go up. I could get a double cheeseburger meal for $3 in high school (before they came out with McDouble).

One thing I noticed recently, and this is in the metro Detroit area, is that they no longer have the Two Cheeseburgers meal (used to be #2)! What in the shit. They better fucking get McRibs in this year, in this area, but I ain't holding my breath. Frickin U.P. got them last year but not down here. What they need to do is bring back the McRib permenently and have the McCheddar (I think is the name; sauteed onions, rye bun, melted cheddar) seasonally. Then McDonald's would be even more awesome than they already are.

Generally McRibs show up some time between Halloween and Christmas, so you've got a wait ahead of you.
You can check the McRib Locator website, of course.

Yep. Burger King had a similar deal to compete with McD's. There was a BK next to my gym. I used to work out, then grab a bag of cheeseburgers for the drive home.

I've never eaten a mcrib.
never eaten a chicken nugget.
Last time I ate mcdonalds was like 10 years ago.
If I have to eat out fast food hamburgers it's usually either wendy's or BK.

McDoubles are $1.49, so naturally are not on the $1, $2, $3 menu

,

Nope ... at least not around here. :(

Plain Mcdouble's appear to be off the menu & something called the "Bacon Mcdouble" is now $2 each instead of 2 for $2.50. A tiny amount of droopy tasteless McD bacon is hardly worth nearly double the price.

In short (with few exceptions) the new "value" menu at McDogburgers pretty much sucks unless you own a franchise & want to make more money.

2 dollar McGriddles are all that matters now! Sooo good!

Except its only sausage ... no egg included at that price.
