sorry guys. I just can't get over this

Lost both my parents in the last few years .... it still hurts bad and I'll always miss them both but believe it or not it does get better.

Hang in there and don't do anything crazy! :)

So sorry to hear. I can't imagine what you're going through. I went through a depression just thinking at the idea of losing my parents and sister. I don't even know how I will handle it when the time comes.

I haven't done this in years. If you see some weird threads tomorrow morning, now you know why.

You'd fit in well with the Newfoundlanders :)

Go classy drunk!

Champagne when you get up, add some orange juice when you're eating breakfast for bucks fizz. If the champagne is finished and the kids are still opening presents then a few glasses of manzanilla. Quick beer when you are peeling potatoes for lunch. Another quick beer because the kitchen is hot. Open the red wine because the meat has gone in the oven. May as well finish the red wine because you don't want it going off and its not what you chose to go with lunch. Lunch is ready so open more champagne or a nice dry white. Pudding! Open the brandy or Vin Santo depending on taste! Phew! really full now! Time for beer in front of some classic films on the telly! Oh! did you drop off to sleep for a bit? Time to sort out supper. Better open a bottle of white wine while you work out what to have...

My plan tends to make itself up after that!

Tib's Eve is interesting.

Where I grew up we have that except it falls on the Wed before Thanksgiving. Everybody under 40 (and some over) goes out Wed night and gets absolutely shitfaced with all of their old friends. It's the only time you ever see most of them after graduating HS. But that night everyone might as well be 18 again, complete with ending up at someone's house until 6 am raiding the parent's liquor cabinet.

It's not the tryptophan that makes people pass out. They're all just hungover as balls.
