Take the set of rational number between 1 and 2. It is uncountably infinite. Guess what? It "starts" and 1 and "ends" at 2. You rubes just don't understand that there are bounded infinite sets (infinite sets with least and/or greatest elements) and unbounded infinite sets (infinite sets with no greatest or least elements).

The fact is that you can't grasp the facts about infinite sets that have been well-understood since Cantor.

I'm not pretending your questions don't exist. They just aren't relevant to the heart of the problem for you which is multifold. For one, you seem to have more of a knack for shoving your own point of view down everyone else's throats because you've convinced yourself you're right. That's why earlier I said it's like a politician trying to do math.

You're so good at it in fact that the person I see most affected by it is you. So far you've managed to convince yourself that inanimate objects for example rocks have or could have consciousness. You've also managed to convince yourself that you understand infinity when it's very clear that you don't. These are just 2 examples of behavior that is out of touch with reality.

You're also angry and condescending, which only serve the purpose of attempting to make you feel better about yourself by convincing yourself that you are intellectually superior to your peers. But it's an empty, failed attempt. If it worked, and you actually did feel better about yourself, you wouldn't need to keep doing it. The effect would be permanent. If you actually were intellectually superior, and didn't have some sort of inferiority complex, you wouldn't need to be condescending to feel better about yourself. You would treat your peers at least as equals and not as inferior creatures to take your anger out on via insults.

You are either in your mid to late teenage years, or have the emotional capacity of one who hasn't grown out of that stage yet. A lack of social interaction due to your off putting nature has to this point, and likely will continue to stunt your emotional and intellectual growth.

I called you a politician trying to do math earlier. Is this what you really want to do, become a good debater? Because it doesn't look like you really want to learn math. If you're going to achieve what you want, you need to decide what that is. What is it that you really want to achieve with this discussion? Do you want to learn the math? Do you want to "win" a debate at any cost? Even at the cost of convincing others of a point of view that is not based in reality at all? In other words, are you trying to learn how best to lie to people and convince them or others that your lies are the truth and that the truth isn't true? This is what sociopaths are preoccupied with. They care not about getting to the truth or learning anything, including math. Their goal is to play mind games with people. What they really wan tot learn is how to fool people. It seems like this is what you are really after. Is it? If so I'm sure there are sites devoted to that sort of thing where you might be more among people you can learn from as there don't seem to be many of those around here. You might not like the company you keep for long though as they can be difficult to get along with.

you aren't arguing anything. you simply do not understand the concept of infinity. links have been pasted explaining what it is and you just don't get it. there is nothing to argue.

its like someone saying that 2 + 2 doesn't equal 4. if they don't understand why it equals 4 and can't get it, there is nothing to talk about.

I'm trying to help him. He keeps begging for answers to his questions. Answering those questions will do absolutely nothing to help him, and he doesn't realize that. Yeah you can do the shift because there is no multiplication or division.

e.g.

x = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10
y = 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 = -8

x + y will always equal 2, no matter what order you add the numbers in.

Uhm... Why does the second row start with 1 instead of with -1?

To simplify it let's just take 1 - 1 + 1 - 1

If you split it up you get 1 + 1 and -1 - 1, not 1 + 1 and 1 - 1. Or, if you insist on starting the y series with +1, you'd get x = 1 and y = 1 - 1 - 1. After all, that extra 1 has to come from somewhere.

y = -1 - 2 - 3 - 4 = -10

If it was posted in Highly Technical it wouldn't only have gotten laughed at, several would have gotten a vacation due to all the namecalling.

When you try to shoehorn a solved result onto an unsolvable problem you get ridiculous answers like this. Dealing with infinite sets as variables and declaring one set to be smaller but equal to larger set is just dumb. This is why better mathematicians laugh at shit like this.
