CP3 dealt to the lakers for 31 year old gasol and old man Odom? GET FUCKING REAL. Nevermind that the hornets are still owned by the NBA. This is fucking bullshit. And now the lakers are free to deal Bynum and picks for d12. Fuck this rigged league.

Yeah I said this in the NBA thread. What a joke. It's funny how every few years the Lakers seem to make a trade for an all star and only give up spare parts in the process. Gasol, Paul

Gasol was the man, would see him in Hermosa every now and then. Sucks we're losing him, but I agree it's bs. Money talks though and the Lakers make ass loads. The league only cares about their profits, not our entertainment or fairness. NBA is easily the most obviously corrupt sporting league there is, I can't believe so many idiots continue to feed it.

So LA went from one of the longest, tallest, most skilled big team in the league to one anchored soley by a shoddy kneed manchild who hasn't played a full season ever. Good bigs are hard to come by. If they can't coupe de gras the offseason for Howard they'll be in trouble.

Is there really any doubt at this point vi? If not this year, then when Dwight's a free agent next year.

Yeah, it seems kind of weird. But it'll be ratings gold, especially during the Heat-Lakers game.

With the giant hole at PF, the only thing left is for them to grab Kris Humphries.

They still have Bynum. Hes a top 5 center in the league. Funny LA didn't have to give him up.
You can't tell me you're not pissed.

I'm not convinced Bynum can last more than 50 games a season. I'm not convinced he can stay out of foul trouble without Odom or Gasol there to help rotate. I'm not convinced he'll be a major scoring threat without Odom or Gasol there to keep people honest. Sure LA picked up a premier driving/scoring PG...but I'm not convinced the backcourt combo of him and Kobe can coexist peacefully either. We'll see how this goes.

A lot of teams are in very bad positions with aging players and no "out". Dallas, Boston, LA, San Antonio. Those teams are getting long in the tooth. It will be very interesting to see how they react to the younger Portland, OKC, Chicago, NY Knicks, and Miami.

let the record show Kobe won his last 2 titles after Gasol came over. I love CP3, but the Lakers gave up a ton of size and skill to get him. So I wouldn't conclude they fleeced the Hornets.

Now if the Lakers also execute any variation of the Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard swap, then yeah it's definitely rigged.

You sound like a Miami fan c. summer 2010.

lol

This is totally different. For 1, Kobe's got more brains and balls than Lebrick. And 2, Howard eats people like Bosh for breakfast. Plus, Wayne's a ball hog, while CP3 dishes.

For like the last 10 years Kobe is used to being *THE* guy who has his hands on the ball at the end of a game. I wonder how he'll make the transition to having Paul being the guy who now makes the call to dish or shoot.

The NBA could just cut down to 6 teams and be fine - the Lakers, Heat, Dallas, Bulls, San Antonio, and Celtics, all teams that have won championships in the last 20 years. There've only been 3 years where a different team was champion in those years (Rockets twice in the mid 90s and a mid-2000s Detroit team). The NBA is a joke.

OP and OILFIELDTRASH: trading two big man for one CP3 is a good trade for Lakers? Lakers got nothing in the center now, unless they can get Dwight but i doubt they could.
