Along with taxing off the shelf ammunition they will put high taxes on powder, ignitors and new shell housings and any reloading tools one would need to purchase to be able to do your own reloads. You can only reload shells so many times before they can no longer be recycled.

Massachusetts is home to both Colt, Savage Arms, and Smith & Wesson. They produce over a million guns a year in Massachusetts. Hopefully they move to gun friendly states if it passes.

They can always relocate to Texas, we would love to have them here.

And this is why bars & liquer stores in MA pay big money for liquer licenses. Plus the gas tax helps to police the roads.

The problem, and you've seen it this month, is that state law can move very quickly--faster than Federal and they can have substantial implications, whereas the fed moves slower and dare I say--Dare I--with more consideration.

It's not reasonable at all for people to be expected to move every time their idiot leaders come up with some new laws they don't like.

Except you can drive across state lines and easily buy or have a friend buy for you. That isn't against the law.

I'm all for taxing drugs. Of course you have to legalize them first. Once drugs are legal, you'll have eliminated most of the crime that goes with illegal drugs.

This would be one of those core issues that gets ignored in the firearms conversation. More freedom, less violence.
