Kasich wants to invade every middle east country he could remember the name of and let businesses discriminate against gay people.

If this is what passes for reasonable now thanks but no thanks.

I liked Kasich until he said that stuff. Sounds like he wants a full out war in the middle east with air, ground, and sea support. No thanks. Then he went back on his gay rights in commerce thing he said a few weeks ago. I liked him before that.

Not sure on the uniforms but yes Trump did defend the size of his penis.

LOL Was he goaded into defending his wang ? Or did he go there on his own ? If it's the latter, odds are good he's lacking and felt he had to respond to the small hands joke :D

This is how devolved that political spectrum has become, that dick size is a relevant talking point in a political debate. o_O They should all just walk out on the stage in assless and crotchless chaps and do a 360...

Well the general population (of the U.S.) has made raunchy networks like Comedy Central popular. And others like vulgar TV sitcoms. So it figures Trump is popular. And yeah other things play into it too like him not being a member of the establishment. Both points are nothing new anyway. I watch Comedy Central btw, but very few sitcoms.

Cruz is the most principled up there...

By this standard, Ayatollah Khomeini is even more "principled". D:

This was Ben Carson's best debate.

I missed his presence. We needed a medical doctor there to adjudicate the whole penis size controversy.

GOP* debates! Best reality TV evah!

it will be interesting to see if and how much effect these recent attacks on Trump will have in the next few states set to vote

Frankly I don't think that debate could have went any better for Trump. If they really wanted to hit Trump hard they should have ignored him for 3/4 of the show like they did most of the other candidates and then included him a bit in the end. Instead it was like one big long ass Trump commercial. It's so amusingly ironic that they are creating exactly what they are so desperately trying to prevent.

Yup. And bringing romny out to do a hit piece just shows how out of touch they are.

Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. I think that when they all argue over policy or how he's changed positions in the past that probably helps him because his supporters don't actually care about policy. In those cases the more attention the better.

I feel like the Trump University stuff probably does hurt him though as it undermines the basis for his candidacy. His whole deal is 'I'm going to use my business smarts to get all sorts of great stuff for you guys!' Well in that case it turns out he used his business smarts to defraud thousands of people just like them out of millions of dollars. Not exactly a good look.

Then again I've been wrong about this guy before! Maybe his supporters will see him scamming other people as another favorable attribute.

No I mean nobody gets away with that when Bill O'Reilly is interviewing them. It was basically a direct insult. I was amazed that Bill O'Reilly of all people didn't respond at all that.

I thought the exact same thing at the time. O'Reilly usually threatens physical violence or loses his fucking mind when someone says less than that and yet he just let it slide. IMHO, O'Reilly was smart though, Trump is just too good at turning around any sort of attack O'Reilly could have came back with as he had just witnessed for two hours.

So, I missed this debate.

Did they actually unzip and show off their wee wee's?
Who's was bigger?
Did Marco even have pubes yet?
Was Ted's dong removable? Is Ted actually a woman? Ted seems quite woosey to me.
Ted's nose has to be bigger than his wee wee, if Ted has a wee wee?

And last but not least, did they all in fact kneel before Donald? Did Donald light up a smoke after?

Well... FINALLY we have a new and appropriate standard in picking a president.
Makes the entire process so much easier.
I just don't know how Hillary could compete.
God.... I hope she can't compete.
Wouldn't that be a kick in the head.... Hillary having the biggest dong of them all. ;)
Oh Hillary. What a big thingy you have....

Actually someone did imply that Trump had a small dick! I shit you not.

Totally agree
when it came to discussing the Trump University stuff his glibb one-liner responses that people go ape shit over weren't working.

There needs to be more of that.

Yeah I felt that Trump didn't practice enough for this debate despite relying on his charisma to deflect attacks. Despite winning, he probably shouldn't have done a rally earlier in the day. You could tell he wasn't in his usual attack dog mode.

Such as RE: The Trump University thing, he should be actively working to get evidence that it got an A (which it did at one point). Imagine if he pulled the dates where it got an A out of his pocket? Kaboom. Or if he could provide evidence or a printout of how many people gave it a favorable rating? I felt like his team could have given him more ammo to fire back. Also on how he's going to fund-his-plan-video gotcha that the moderators pulled on him. He needs to get his numbers right instead of just talking about the IRS/EPA etc. That would've put the nail in the coffin last night if he had all the numbers ready.

That said, he did good sticking to his "off the record" guns regarding the NYTimes since it makes sense. If something is off the record, why should it be publicly published? He stuck to his guns on waterboarding and the wall. He did good on the gotcha video of him changing some of his stances, like the refugees where he admitted he changed his stance when more information was available. He did well defending attacks on the seasonal workers and writing checks to clinton.

He slammed Rubio again on the worst absentee voting record in the country for a senator. That is going to be Rubio's death knell. Sucks to be him, there is no excuse for that. People take voting very seriously.

Cruz trying to give donald a taste of his own medicine with the calm down bit was hilarious. Mainly because Cruz is acting out of character. Where the fuck was this in all of the other debates? He's not fooling anyone, he's a beta whose handlers are trying to emulate Trump's alpha character. It was great entertainment to watch. In the end, I liked that Trump didn't slam Cruz too much because Cruz will be a key endorsement when he joins his buddy Sessions after losing. Kasich, you can tell is just waiting for Trump to become the inevitable nom before he drops out and endorses him. I think if Trump can take Ohio from Kasich then Kasich will endorse.

Rubio and Cruz trying to play Trumps game looked silly. You can tell both of these guys are out of place trying the personal attack route. Cruz going on about Trump University got old quick. Rubio going on about Trumps change of stance didnt pan out neither. When finally pressed Trump came out with the "well in the real world there has to be flexibility" line. I think this guy is one of the greatest salesman in the a long time. No matter how you try to pin him he always manages to find the right words to weasel his way out of it while making the people doing the pinning look stupid.

I felt sorry for trump by the end. He has crushed in earlier debates, not with substance but with style because it's all he has. Here he didn't have it, like he was tired. And the slides/videos put up by the moderators were pretty damn bad for him.

Cruz is the most principled up there, but kasich is probably the best. And RCP does have him leading clinton by 7 (though perhaps because nobody knows him). Too bad it's too little, too late.

Not only was Cruz not "the most principled" candidate in that debate (for my money that is clearly Kasich), I'd argue he is one of the most cynical, least principled candidates of my lifetime.

And he ate a booger* on live TV.

*It could have been a booger or something that came out of his mouth and got sucked back in.
