A woman can't put a child up for adoption without the father's consent. The father can keep the child and take the mother to court to pay for child care if the mother is trying to give up the child.

Even that was not enough of a parachute. So many women were murdering their newborns that society went and added an extra special parachute so they could just dump the baby at a hospital no questions asked.

What does it say about society where expecting women not to murder their newborns is considered to be an undue burden, but expecting men to pay child support for 18 years is totally reasonable.

If you dont want to pay child support, dont fuck. Both men and women know the outcomes of sex and what rights they do and dont have. Fair or not, they both know. Men know that they could pay for childsupport for 18 years. Women know that they might get pregnant. LIFE ISN'T FAIR, if you dont want to deal with that shit, stop having sex outside of marriage.

Nah actually I realize that the fact that it was her body and he surreptitiously put a chemical into her body she didn't concede to, and which is also a fairly serious chemical which could have harmed her. I agree that changes the situation.

But a society that permits abortion getting this upset at him seems a little out of whack. 13 years seems out of whack.

Being charged with something doesn't mean you will be found guilty, anyone can be charged with anything. I will concede that unless a state has made abortion illegal and seen as murder, then a mans action shouldn't result in a murder CONVICTION. With that being said crimes were committed, and really, until us men are host to these parasites, we have to accept that women have more rights when it comes to what happen to their bodies, and rightfully so.

Misoprostol inducing labour is not poisoning the mother. If that were the case, every single mother in the history of the world has been poisoned, since misoprostol is an analogue of prostaglandins naturally produced by the body.

Also, if you give only misoprostol in a termination, the baby will be born alive. Unless, as I said before, it already died. Standard procedure is to also give methotrexate so the fetus dies.

Of course he did something illegal. What he didn't do was kill the baby (since it may have already demised going from the ultrasound she got), or poison the mother.

This illuminates an absurd contradiction in the pro-choice movement. On the one hand she can kill her fetus because it is a worthless bag of cells but if he does it he gets murder. Is that fetus a person of not? Only if mom says it is?

There are many states in which it is okay to abort because the fetus is worthless shit and yet if you kill a pregnant mom you get double homicide. It is grossly obscene this double standard.

I don't think he should have gotten murder, but assault. The homicide for fetuses laws are largely driven by pro-lifers, not pro-choice movement, so there is no contradiction.
