How can superman shave his beard or cut his hair? Shouldn't they be impervious to razors & scissors?

It's a poor fvcking reflection on humanity that they are rebooting this story yet again. I wonder if it will suck as badly as the dung heap from 2006 (which was interminably boring).

I'm not doing it out of principle so much as a genuine lack of interest: I doubt I'll see the recent spiderman movie, and don't expect I'll see this, either. I think I know how it goes since it's already in two damn movies, one only 7 years prior.

Superman needed a reboot, after Superman 3 and 4 were de-canonized to make Superman Returns. Returns was only watchable because of Kevin Spacey. I wish Singer had stayed with the X-Men franchise, maybe he could have made a decent X-Men 3.

nope, will take a miracle to be truly good

superman is one of the dumbest comic-book characters of all time

he's way too powerful and his only weakness is way too convenient and thus any conflicts seem way too contrived

Doctor Manhattan from Watchmen makes a far more interesting ultra powerful character. But they won't rewrite Superman in a similar fashion simply because he's just far too ingrained already to be well received by the diehard fans.

Actually Superman COULD be a great character. Yes, they made his powers ridiculous back in the 60's-80's...much like they did The Hulk over at Marvel.

The 1990's Animated Series showed that great, interesting, and moving Superman stories were possible. The last movie failed because it tried to emulate the corny Christopher Reeve version mixed in with some modern Twilight emo crap. They need to start fresh and make a more vulnerable Superman, then it will work nicely.

What made the 90's Animated series great were things like:

- high caliber weapons could push him back and stung a bit
- he couldn't be in two places at once
- he wasn't "super-intelligent"
- he had limited strength, mostly because he had to hold back to avoid hurting people
- he made flawed/emotional decisions
- living a double life is more difficult to handle than it seems

Here's some examples of great Superman stories, and they really need to take these tips in the movie:

I watched it a couple of time and I never saw a man made out of a steel trailer. Or even an aluminum trailer.

Why are there vapor trailers following superman and why two of them?

Their formation is most often triggered by the water vapour in the exhaust of aircraft engines, but can also be triggered by the changes in air pressure in wingtip vortices or in the air over the entire wing surface. So Superman's body itself can create them.

drama whore much?

Poor reflection on humanity that someone with actual creative vision is making another superman movie?

I for one can't wait to see it.

Im still trying to figure out why they remade Spiderman... again?
And why anyone wanted to see it?
Yeah, I seen it.
Wal-mart $5 movie bin by Christmas???

Wow - the comic con trailer does add a few twists. I don't doubt it will be an excellent movie considering who's directing and starring in it.

The trailers make the movie seem darker than prior SM movies. With Nolan producing, this one should be good.
