It has already been pointed out he had water...

Nope.

According to them, he drank NONE! Again, read the thread, or just go read the "final results" article someone else posted and I quoted in the thread:

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

"(jani's)only contact with any kind of fluid was during gargling and bathing periodically during the period," g. Ilavazahagan, director of india's defence institute of physiology and allied sciences (dipas), said in a statement.
And yet:

During the 15-day observation, which ended on Thursday, the doctors took scans of Jani's organs, brain, and blood vessels, as well as doing tests on his heart, lungs and memory capacity.

"The reports were all in the pre-determined safety range through the observation period," Shah told reporters at a press conference last week.

Yes because you can't swallow some while gargling, and your skin can't absorb stuff through it... wait what???

Sneak enough while gargling and . . . absorb enough?!? . . . while periodically bathing, all the while EATING NOTHING such that a 71 year old would show NO visible or immediately measurable deterioration over a 15 day period?

Do you really think you've made some sort of legitimate point?

Really?!?

Your skin can absorb a surprising amount of junk, not to mention if bathing yes water can get in holes you would rather not have it go, if it does that.. which It can and will you can absorb a lot of water.
As for not being that effected by not eating.. hes probably been starving himself enough over the years that his metabolism is well about as low as a human can have and still be alive, it didn't exactly say he was active.

Sorry, but you are dead wrong.

Your assertion is, quite simply, ridiculous, unsupportable and totally factually negated. You really need to educate yourself on this topic at least somewhat before posting again:

Here is the first link with which to tentatively begin your journey towards doing so:

How much water does your body absorb when showering/bathing?

Can anyone tell me about how much water your body absorbs when showering/bathing? And does it only get in your skin or also into your vessels and stuff?

Would it be possible to take enough showers or baths in one day to get water intoxication through absorption?

And before anyone compares it to swimming, remember that the sun absorbs most of the water on you and also I think chlorine might have some sodium in it which would balance out the fluid overload.

The body doesn't absorb any water. Because of the hundreds of layers of dead skin, it makes a natural barrier so water cannot get in.

Skin is composed of three primary layers: the epidermis, which provides waterproofing and serves as a barrier to infection; the dermis, which serves as a location for the appendages of skin; and the hypodermis (subcutaneous adipose layer), which is called the basement membrane.

Better tell that to the people using tiny skin patches for stuff...
Besides as I said, its not just the skin its the fact that the water has a direct entrance to the intestines which absorb water no matter what you have been lead to believe. :(

FWIW, the real issue at bay is if the guy's body can convert water diffusion into usable & retainable form, which are what the cell wall and vacuoles in plant cells are supposed to do. Water can penetrate the keratin cells within the epidermal layer - which is also what causes skin to wrinkle when taking prolonged showers or swims.

I don't think it's possible with someone, at least not with a normal person.

This is something a 200 level college course or up would look into.

Some people will believe anything.

Hey there is a spacecraft behind that comet I'm going to meet it later. Do you want to come along? Drink this Kool Aid.

Bunch of dumb asses!

On second thought maybe he is making it with no water or food. Some of you dudes that buy this shit are living with no brains.

Not anything close to the MINIMUM 2.5 quarts a day you need just to survive, even if this guy had been allowed to have a bath each and every day, which he most likely wasn't!!

Give it up, already, your assertion that he could skin absorb and/or reverse fart up his anus enough water to total 2.5 liters a day from baths he probably didn't even have on a daily basis remains laughable.

Quarts or Liters?

Quick make up your mind.

Just don't get blindsided, I am sure there is scientific reasoning on why he is able to do what he is doing if it is real.

Don't ignore the fact that the man is barely moving everyday, yet alone possibly thinking. If you were confined to a bed all day and slept a good amount, you've reduced mandatory intake requirement levels a good deal.

This guy is probably not too far off from hibernation. I wonder what is heart rate is and his brain's metabolism. But what is significant is that he's actually awake during this time.

Also if he's actually somehow sneaking in water through the gargling or showering, he would urinate, in which the article says he doesn't.

While I don't believe this guy has went without food/water for 70yrs, it's not unheard of to hear of bizzare medical cases where one can significantly deviate from the norm. As the article mentions, he may possibly be running on an alternate pathway that uses less energy.

You do know they are virtually the same, don't you?

1 liter = 1.0556 quart.

No. They are not the same. That is like saying a yard and a meter are practically the same. No they are not.

A Liter is a Liter
and
A Quart is a Quart.

Another link http://www.physorg.com/news192690076.html

The study was conducted by DRDO India's premier Defence Research Organization they build India's missiles so definitely backed by a very credible organization and not by a bunch of quacks.

Give me a break! I thought this forum was full of intelligent people. India has credible organizations? Get real.

If they believe this shit their credibility is no more.

Ask the indian guys on the forum. They or their parents would know more about siddhartha than most of the foreigners of ATOT combined.
