<< By using exploitative you insinuated evil.
No the comment does make sense due to the fact piracy and stealing are the same thing.....theft
Apply your cheaper price logic to shareware. Winzip and the like is free for thirty days after that for a nominal fee you should pay and register it. How many people do you know that paid for it???
BTW, just a suggestion, try putting you quote before the reply. It's a little less confusing if I know what you're replying to before I read your reply. >>
actually i used the word "extort" implying exploitation, you inferred the evil...
and you just proved my point... I SAID stealing and piracy are the same thing, which is why i said:
<< that comment makes NO sense because under that logic there are ways to get everything free: cars, clothes, jewelry - just steal it (real world piracy) >>
if things are closer to affordable, people wouldn't steal them, like my other example:
<< if it's affordable, less ppl will steal it... for example, everyone at my university can by M$ software for $5 per CD... that's why i have legit copies of WinME and Office2K and Visual Studio... >>
everyone i know has pirated software, except for the M$ stuff we buy on campus for a reasonable price...
Also your shareware analogy is crap because WinZip is given away and registration is optional...
BTW, just a suggestion, try READING and UNDERSTANDING a post before replying. It's a little easier on me if you address what I wrote so I don't have to repeat myself.
