Man Calls 9-1-1 After Finding Girlfriend Stabbed, Cops Show Up, Kill Him

He never claimed that. He's showing that one incident of a gungho cop with a quick trigger out of [some large number] doesn't mean you should be afraid to call "those fucks" when you need help. This guy should be dealt with, but there is no need to draw vast generalizations from this one incident without statistics, which haven't been provided.

We're not talking about someone going through the drive-through and getting annoyed because there are pickles on your burger when they specifically asked for no pickles and becoming afraid to get takeout food.

These are people with fucking guns and a license to use them whenever they want with seemingly reckless abandon. You call them for help, and you roll the dice on whether or not you'll live to see tomorrow. When they do kill you for any number of reasons (they had a bad day, you looked at them funny, their finger slipped) there aren't consequences, the blue wall of silence covers for them and your killer goes home to see their family every night while you're 6 feet under.

I don't care if it happens one time per year. It's not acceptable for MY GOVERNMENT to kill people and shrug their shoulders like it was no big deal.

Out of the 240 million calls, do you really need me to break up the %'es? That's an insane amount of calls. Those are just 911 calls, it doesn't include anything where they do something pro-active. So it's a huuuuuuuuge astronomical fucking thing that emergency responders do for our country.

I'm just trying to point out, that when people are outraged over multiple incidents, stop lumping the entire police force into a bucket of "a few bad apples"

I've met some cops that are dicks, but I've met way more that are awesome and are a great service to everyone. I'm not about to let people go head-hunting every single person in a uniform and call them fucks for no reason other then some internet rage over a case that hasn't even been adjudicated yet.

Maybe its time those awesome cops started doing their job on removing the bad apples. The point about the bad apple metaphor is if you don't remove the bad apples, they spoil the whole bunch. But cops and their bootlicks like you will simply rally around every cop and scream about how unfair it is they are judged.

So, we'll keep calling them fucks and you can go on fucking dealing with it.

Clear!! Concise!! To the point!! Very well said!! Sir, I applaud you!!:thumbsup:

OK then, have you ever seen a tree with 100% perfect fruit? Because one bad apple is in the tree, it spoils the entire tree?

Is that what your metaphor is saying, because one apple is imperfect, it makes them all terrible apples?

So you'd leave a tumor in because it's just a couple of bad cells?

A "Cancer" metaphor would be more appropriate in the context that a miniscule amount of problems can rapidly grow to a large and devastating problem.

Saying a bad apple destroys the whole crop is just incorrect. It's actually quite the opposite. Overall, the apples all taste great and come as expected. No matter how good they are...there will always be a "Few" that are bad.

The apple in that saying isn't on the tree. It's in a bushel.

Regardless, I suppose you'd sell those bad apples to your customer, because hey, the other apples are fine. Just deal with those shitty rotten ones, peon, and be happy I didn't shoot you after you paid for your apples.

That would be more appropriate for Charter or Time Warner.

IF the story as presented is true then that cop should be on trial for murder. However, if the cops did indeed order him to drop the gun and he did not comply, they were well within their rights to shoot him. Cops have no idea who he is and he's pointing a gun at them. We don't have enough information at this time to decide which story is accurate.

Also I hate to say it, but a little common sense could have helped here. When you call the cops over after a violent incident, and you have a dog, why do let your dog run around the house? Did it not occur to this guy that the dog might react negatively to strangers coming through the door? Lock the dog up in a spare room. Also, after making sure your wife is safe, go meet the cops at the door, and lock any back/side doors. Take the gun with you if you're concerned about the guy coming back, but keep it holstered. If the guy has left the house then there's no reason to huddle in a room.

Yeah I know "blaming the victim" "armchair quarterbacking" and "how dare you, he was in shock!". Fine, but frankly IMHO any man who would have a family should be at least somewhat prepared for these types of situations, however unlikely they may be. It goes with being a husband and father, the physical security of your family is first and foremost your responsibility and you should at least think these things through; so that if/when they happen you aren't stuck in shock and completely out of control.

To me this was a tragic, wrong, but avoidable situation.

They shot and killed his dog.
Those may very well be the shots fired before "drop the gun".

Shouldn't they have announced themselves before entering the house and being in any position to shoot the dog in the first place? Had they done that I doubt the guy would have grabbed his gun.

Then again, even if someone yelled police while entering my home and I couldn't see them and then heard shots fired, I'd probably think it wasn't really the police in my house.

nice completely false cop hate meme pic. Do you moonlight with racist black people memes or islamic extremist memes too?

Are you saying the "meme" isn't true?

In some states shooting a police dog is considered murdering a police officer and carries the same penalty of killing a human police officer. If that is the case, shouldn't they be restricted to the same? Shoot a caged dog that couldn't possibly harm you = murder all day long in my book.

As far as the cop in the OP, I really really want to hear his defense and reasoning behind why this 3 legged dog made him fear for his life.

You are trying to b so clever.....not working!!
One bad apple will spoil the other bad apples that are in a basket....

You yourself know this has nothing to do with the tree......

I feel you are getting mega butt hurt and are being goofy to retaliate..lol

The "blue line" is a very well known and true thing. In case you didn't know, the blue line is what cops don't cross in ratting out other cops. If you rat out another cop it is almost always career ending because the other cops make your life hell.

So tell the fucks to stop protecting the bad fucks and we might have a bit more respect for them. Ironically they continually bitch and moan about the community not being willing to make statements because of the "snitches get stitches" mentality, the very same mentality that the "blue line" promotes.

Most people don't plan to protect themselves and their families from the friggen police that they called. Just saying...

And locking up my 3 legged dog because a cop might go full on retard wouldn't be high on my family safety priority list.

Finally, if I call the police I fully expect them to knock on the door and wait for me to answer. If I don't answer after a reasonable amount of time, sure they can kick it in. If I leave the door wide open I fully expect them to announce themselves and continue to announce themselves until I acknowledge them. I really want to know how the cop made it into the house to shoot the dog without the guy knowing the police were there until he heard the shot. Since he called the police after being stabbed I am going to assume that he wasn't trying to run from the police or kill them. If the dog wasn't restrained in anyway I'd think the door would have been shut, everyone I know who has a house dog shuts the door to keep the dog from getting out.

Then again, it was a 3 legged dog so maybe the guy knew that even after being stabbed that he could hobble down the street to grab him if he got out of the house.

Bottom line, no way in hell should the officer have been in a position to shoot the 3 legged dog before the family knew he was in the house. Further I can't blame the guy for his actions. I have a GSD that is my big goofy ass buddy and he's a little spoiled so I let him sleep in the house in his big ass kennel whenever he wants (which is damn near every night). If I hear someone shoot my dog, and nothing else, I am coming out of my bedroom with a gun too, safety off and gun on my shoulder with every intention in the world to put some slugs in whoever just shot my dog.

What's even worse is they charged the poor fuck with aggravated assault on the officer and denied his family access to him for his last two days alive!!! Seriously what the mother fuck?!

Putting all your trust on "witnesses" that somehow didn't hear commands through a wall. Just because they didn't hear them didn't mean that they didn't happen. Another example of 'put the fucking gun down and don't get shot'. Automatically putting blame on the officer is for idiots and agenda driven cop haters. I think the op is both.

Oh, you don't have to explain this to him. He's well practiced in the art.

I'm just saying the cops certainly took at least a few minutes to arrive. So take a minute after you've called the cops, shake yourself off, start thinking and get things in order as much as possible.

I guess it's a difference in expectations. I've heard enough cop horror stories like these to know to roll out the red carpet for them and take every precaution if I call. Forget the fact that they're cops, think of them as random guys with guns that you're calling to your house because you think you might need armed assistance, and there's no guarantee that the details of the situation are communicated clearly. Expect them to be on a hair trigger, and expect them to be dumb and under-trained. It shouldn't be that way, but that's reality in a lot (not most, but a lot) of cases.

Yeah, them denying the family access is some low, low bullshit. It's speculation, but it looks like they were trying to prevent him from making a statement of some sort.
