I've never seen so many males afraid of being hygienic. Manicures, pedicures, etc are not just for women. What is it that people notice about you first, your appearance correct?

Doesn't matter to the typical male ATOTer, you have to remember most are millionaires and can easily get with females on J Alba's level without even trying. If you had it like that you wouldn't care about Manicures & Pedicures.

bah. they'll never steal the calluses off my feet, those are there for a reason. how the hell do you walk outside barefoot in the snow without it? Who wants baby feet? I'll keep my armors.

we have no snow in So. Cal, and my Calluses have never helped me. They have however scratched my lady when I was trying to cuddle with her, she wasn't happy. That has happened more than once 🙁

"Take the rough parts of the feet away"? Why would you want that? I work really hard at distance running, tennis, and fencing to build up those calluses. My feet would be bloody blisters after one day without them. I suppose next it will be fashionable to have your skull removed so your head is nice and soft too.

It's not a hygiene thing. My feet are clean and my nails are trimmed. Sure, people notice appearance...since I'm a guy, if I'm looking to make an impression I'm not wearing open-toed shoes.

Feet (in general) are ugly. Male feet are usually very... ah... "rugged". With spring/summer, you see a lot of flip flops and sandals worn by men. It is just plain gross to see gunked up nails, rough heels and toes, etc.

If you are secure enough to get a pedicure, do it... I don't expect you to get nail polish (even clear) but a good pedicure will clean the nails, trim them, take the rough parts of the feet away and give a general look of "I care about my hygiene" to others.

Just my opinion.

I agree that your feet should be clean. If your feet are gunked up, get a stiff bristle brush and some soap and get that part of your body clean. A pedicure is not the answer to poor hygiene.

No, you are right, but I am simply saying that there is NOTHING wrong with a male getting a pedicure. It is relaxing and by no means says anything (usually) about sexual preference. They not only clean your feet, they will massage your legs and toes, moisturize and will wrap a hot, moist towel. It is a nice and cheaper way to clean ones feet.

i'm with Lola.

please think of the feet guys. keep the toenails trimmed and clean! also, use a pumice stone while in the shower (and your skin is softened up) to get rid of ugly dead rough patches of skin.

there is also not a thing wrong with guys wearing sandals (no socks). with the weather being warm who wants to have socked feet in a pair of stuffy sneakers. let those feet breeeeeeeeathe.

I rarely wear sandals because they don't offer enough arch support for my exceptionally flat feet. I can't wear my orthotics with sandals so I wear sneakers when I'm not at work.

Lol, you recommended a pumice stone. You may as well tell them to use a luffa and expensive conditioner too. 😉

Yeah, my wife occasionally bitches about my rough feet...my typical response is, "You married me for my feet?". My feet are in socks & shoes 2/3s of the day, there's no reason for me to give a fuck about rough spots on my heels or whatnot.

For the length of time I'd wear sandals it's not worth the cost of seeking out properly supportive sandals. My feet are flat enough that I actually got a "Wow" out of my podiatrist.

True. Is it unsanitary to share a pumice stone with someone (assuming neither have diseases like athlete's foot)? Maybe I'll gank my g/f's every now and then. :Q

If a pumice stone happened to end up in my shower, I might be inclined to use it. I wouldn't even know where to buy one. Would a whet stone work?

Also thanks for confirming that sandals are the shit.

Pedicures are for women that like wasting money on things that they are perfectly capable of doing themselves.

Yeah, I was talking about the $$ pedicures. I had a gf once that would cut my toenails because she kept complaining that it was like fucking a bear.

After she cut my nails and shaved my back she kept quiet for a good week.

I'd be down if a SO wanted to clean that shit up for me.

LOL! My wife buys this spray on hair remover for my back too 😀 Been clearing it off for years, now I'm just used to it 🙂 She made me trim my chest hair before we went to a pool party last week. She said "the Tom Seleck look was out 15 years ago".

Dude...I'm pretty sleek these days heheh.

My roommate used to nair like his whole body except his head. It always smelled like burning babies in the house. Is that the kind of stuff you use? Man I couldn't stand that. I'm hairy and proud. Don't know if that's the cause of or an effect of being single. Probably the latter. I'd care more if I was coaxed.

Naw, I use this spray on stuff. It's low scent, and you only leave it on for like 5 minutes. Then the wife puts aftershave on my back after I rinse it off, and then it's like one of those Axe commercials 🙂

Sweet! I'm gonna have to get me one of them wife things one of these days.

My wife complains about my finger nails every once in a while because they are sort of sharp and ragged. I clip them and she sands them down for me.... errr buffs them with one of those pads.

Kinda sucks because you can't scratch anything for a day or two after... that is sort of the point with my wife, if you know what I mean... 😉

Works great. Not a sign of hair for several days, and it's very thin for a few weeks after.

just saw the thread, I definitely couldn't do a pedicure. Thats just not something I could ever make an appointment for, I'm good clipping my own shit. and on that note I only shave like on the weekends and I usually end up lazy and it doesn't happen but every couple of weeks. Thank good I have a job where appearance doesn't matter.

Is it common? NO, but it SHOULD be...

My wife drags me in for a pedicure at least once per year. I don' admit it to her, but I actually enjoy it. 😀

I do feel sorry for the poor little asian girl who gets stuck working on these big fugly feet...and I can always tell by the look on their faces that they feel sorry for them too...😉

I make jokes and cut up with the ladies who there getting their pedicures, and they usually look at me kind of oddly, (remember, I'm about 6-1 and over 250 lbs) but most of them say they wish they could get their men in for pedicures as well...They usually joke about what color of nail polish I'm gonna have that day...Fluorescent Pink, I tell them...It's teh sexay...😀
