If you are secure enough to get a pedicure, do it... I don't expect you to get nail polish (even clear) but a good pedicure will clean the nails, trim them, take the rough parts of the feet away and give a general look of "I care about my hygiene" to others.

Just my opinion.

Well the male body is rugged. Every part of us. Certainly nothing compared to the female body. And yeah, I find it repulsive any person not care for their feet. How difficult is it to maintain proper hygiene?

I think any man that will go into a salon and get their feet "worked on" should have never had "man card" in the first place! If your SO wants you to get your "toes done" tell her to do it for you! Pedicures are for women that like wasting money on things that they are perfectly capable of doing themselves.

I agree that your feet should be clean. If your feet are gunked up, get a stiff bristle brush and some soap and get that part of your body clean. A pedicure is not the answer to poor hygiene.

No, you are right, but I am simply saying that there is NOTHING wrong with a male getting a pedicure. It is relaxing and by no means says anything (usually) about sexual preference. They not only clean your feet, they will massage your legs and toes, moisturize and will wrap a hot, moist towel. It is a nice and cheaper way to clean ones feet.

Men on here won't listen to you lol, I remember commenting on a thread saying I've gotten a few Manicures, which rank way lower on the homo/metro scale and the dudes on here were going apeshit over it haha.

For a buncha computer nerds/geeks ATOT is sure full of ultra rugged, outdoors, hiking, hunting bears with a pocket knife type. I had no idea.

I've never gotten a Pedicure, but my lady commented on my feet last time I saw her - and it wasn't in a nice way. So I might do it next weekend.

I understand that saying what I say might annoy some but I am trying to offer an honest, female opinion. Others can take it or leave it.

I understand you, and I think it's good a woman chimes in, a damn shame a lot of these men still won't listen. Apparently ATOT men are expects on the wemens, and they don't need any input who knew?

Nah, it's just that I'm married and my days of impressing someone are pretty much done.

Yeah, I was talking about the $$ pedicures. I had a gf once that would cut my toenails because she kept complaining that it was like fucking a bear.

After she cut my nails and shaved my back she kept quiet for a good week.

I'd be down if a SO wanted to clean that shit up for me.

I also agree that there is nothing wrong with a man getting a peticure. For me this would not be relaxing in any way. My wife is the only one I want rubbing my lower extremities.

We wouldn't want it any other way. It's not like ATOT is overrun with honest female opinions.

From my perspective, feet are ugly, and a pedicure is like putting lipstick on a pig. Nails are trimmed and my feet are clean already, and they aren't going to look any better after an investment of $30. However, if my wife commented negatively on my feet I would presume that meant there is room for improvement and I'd give it consideration.

Pedicures are a matter of preference and a luxury but I certainly do not think it is anymore a waste of money than going to a movie, to dinner, to the bar, getting a new video game, computer game, etc.

My brother is a general manager at a spa and says that 90% of guys that come in get at least a pedicure.

He's had it done for himself (because he only has to pay the tip) and says "I don't care how gay it sounds, it feels freaking great."

It's not just doing nails. It's also treatment for the skin and all sorts of stuff from the ankles down.

I would get one... I just don't want to PAY for one.

You are right, those are all luxuries.
I would much rather spend my money on a great meal or good movie than spend the money on a pedicure. I have never had that great of an experience getting a pedicure, it never seemed "worth it" to me. Plus, I just bought a PedEgg for $10 and it works like a charm! 😉
But, I digress....

this thread has inspired me to go try it, been thinking about it any ways. It probably will feel good as Injury said. My girl will be shocked too that alone might make it all worth it lol.

Any man who is that concerned about what does and doesn't question his man card, shouldn't have a man card in the first place. If a man is secure in himself he can do anything and not worry about his man card being called into question, because he won't care. Some of the biggest pussies I know are men who brag about their "man card!" and how manly they are. If you actually concern yourself with your man card, or have to bring it up in a conversation you don't deserve one.

Agreed. If a man is confident and secure with himself, then it doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks.
As a woman, I am extremely concerned with my man card. 🙂

As an individual, I find the idea of a "man card" very funny and like to bring it up at random times.

I wish Greenpeace and PETA would get off my back about it, though!

well said - I had no idea you were a female lol. I do what I want, and at times I'll do what my female wants. Sometimes it involved shit that a lot of idiot men would question "how can you do that as a man!?!" But when I'm having sex with my girl afterwards I would have to say my man card is just fine 🙂

Please report how it goes.

I use nail trimmers as necessary, and don't let crap gunk up. Don't have much of a problem with either though, showers generally rinse them out nicely, and I'm genetically fortunate to almost never have foot-odor. Net result is I spend about 10 minutes a month on my nails for free.

Manicures and pedicures for guys are a waste of time and money. I'd say they're a waste of time and money for women too, but it's become rooted in most cultures so I'm cool with it.

LOL! Nice.

Yeah, another thing I have trouble with is "man law". I've got a decent amount of training in Krav Maga, was talking about it during a dorm hall conversation, and one of my hall-mates gave me an incredulous look after I mentioned the groin kick and said: "so you don't follow man-law?".

Fine moron. I'll mug you in a dark ally with a knife and we'll see how much of a fuck you give about "man-law" then.

Sorry, but a man wearing sandals does not have a mancard to begin with.

I trim my nails with nailclippers and don't see gunked up nails.

I've only had one once, and it was last month. Right before I left for my drive, my friend told me my toe nails were too long. Which I agreed, because dream2hike yelled at me all the time for it. I refuse to cut them myself usually, so I got one.

Here's a pic:

I would probably do it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. If i passed a place and the thought crossed my mind, perhaps.

ROFL I don't know why, but I expected this response from you.

I pour whisky over my feet then gnaw the toe nails down to the quick, then light them on fire to cauterize. Man card intact.

WTF is wrong with sandals? They are essential when you are fishing or near water.

I throw them on all the time when I'm lazy. You can have my mancard with that criteria.
