My semi-automatic pistol has a capacity of 18+1 rounds or 20+1 rounds. That's a lot of firepower. I just looked and I can get aftermarket 32 and 50 round mags if I really felt the need.
California prohibits its law abiding citizens from choosing firearms that match the capacity of those who use California illegal weapons, relying on the threat of prison if you're serious about self defense. Perhaps the Supreme Court will finally declare that unconstitutional as guns from other states can easily be brought in by criminals.

Sure. Guns talk to people who are projecting massive self hate. They whisper, this is how to silence the voices in your head. Go out and kill everyone in sight. Sometimes they talk through the fillings in your teeth, but mostly it's the tiny light phasing speakers that are embedded in the triggers. Clearly you have heard them too, demanding you use them because usually their presence is a deeply guarded secret.

I discovered them because one of mine was obviously defective. It kept playing Lennon's Imagine.
Oooohhhhhhh now I get interest in guns. It’s your buddy to keep you company with you with your pet rock and imaginary friend.

I feel that your self-hate ,which causes you to fetishize guns, is on the level of many maga.

Have you tried therapy? Ketamine therapy? Take it a bunch of mushrooms and walking in the desert therapy?

The evidence compels me to conclude you don't get much of anything that was in that post.

That is not really a feeling. That is an opinion you have because you are arrogant enough to believe things that are motivated by feelings you don't want to know are there. Feelings would run the gamut from fear, the repression of all feelings to depression where feelings are deeply repressed, to sadness when the feelings break through into preliminary self awareness, to states of irritability and anger culminating if fits of rage which if allowed to fully manifest, say in a therapeutic situation like ones I have experienced, that break into reliving something from the past that is the real feeling. The realization of the actual source of what we imagine we are feeling but are lies that protect ourselves from painful memories, when relived and re-experienced open the door to a real human feeling of grief. To really suffer, to remember and become that deeply wounded child again called grief is nothing but the rebirth of empathy. Empathy for self leads to love universal. Drugs are a back door in.

I have been in both doors. When thought and time stop one becomes what one really is. Do you know who that is. And a single glimpse changes everything. All I can offer you is empty words that can't transmit anything. I wish I could change that but I don't know how.

Nah, its more like this:

Their imaginary friends are all the bots on social media (I'd pointed out for years how when right wingers have meltdowns where they can't handle insults after they initiate them, then end up going "you must not have any friends" and then connected the dots when they cried after social media companies started cracking down on the rampant bots on their platforms, causing lots of a right wingers to lose the majority of their "friends"). The voices in their heads, or the impossible loneliness of serial killers like Dahmer, should not be lost.

Their "tactical ____" or whatever nonsense object they carry (lookup the weird dudes obsessed with the little stuff they carry with them at all times "to be prepared", which is why companies making basically any and all products now make "tactical" versions to sell to these insecure manbabies; you'll see this in like the subforums all about wallet + loadout or whatever they refer to their knives/lighters/"tools"), serve as their blankys or stuffed animals that give them that small comfort they need constantly on them or else they'd snap and murder their whole family or at least their girlfriends. The similarities between this stuff (often at times literally exactly the same things) and serial killers' "kill kits" should not be lost.

The guns somewhat serve that purpose as well, but well its tough to carry their AR15s everywhere! But the guns are mostly their surrogate penis (aka their entire self identity) since either due to old age or fear (or the women whom weirdly constantly proclaim how they're more manly than liberals but somehow don't realize that would literally make them not gender conforming, which they want to ban and/or exterminate such persons...), their actual dicks just stay soft, which is why they gotta blam blam blam it back up so they can feel like real men again. Its also why all the right has is constant insolent male rage, its the thing that gets the blood flowing so they can be ready to pump it up by stroking their big metal dicks. The similarities to serial killers that find the only cure for their impotence is murder should not be lost.

Its best to have a guide who has experience with said mushrooms. Never did it myself, but I have heard it can be life changing. Others just say meh.

Doing it alone is just suicide.

As for Ketamine, had to look it up. Doesn't seem like a good idea.

You’ve got some great stuff going on up there. You should try tea leaves or knuckle bones.

Learn how to love your gun:

I'm no expert but my impression is that you can easily send off 10 rounds/second with an assault weapon. A hand gun has much more limited capacity, is not as easily aimed. Has to be reloaded way sooner. I figure on average, less than half the fatalities. It's something. How armed should people be allowed to be? Bazookas? Tanks. Where do you draw the line? If the decision was left to me, a be-be gun is the limit.
Late to the reply on this one, but a common issue that comes up when one uses a generic term like 'assault weapon' is that it's not specific enough to define what it actually is. The vast majority of weapons the layperson would define as an assault weapon is something like an AR-15, which is semi automatic. You aren't realistically firing more than a few shots a second, and not accurately at all unless you've trained significantly with it. 10/s would mean pulling the trigger 10x, unless it's got a 3-shot mode (I don't know, my experience is with m-16s), and even then you're probably only going to hit that twice if you're just trying for shooting as fast as possible, unconcerned with accuracy.

As others said, ammo is entirely dependent. You could have something like a MAB PA-15 with a 15 round 9mm capacity, or something like a Winchester 94 (decidedly not an assault weapon) that holds 5+1. Note that your probably of surviving a round from the 9mm is much, much higher than the 30-30.

Aron Ralston might argue. But a gun would have done him no good. However, his prodigious imagination did summon a lot of friends. And saved his life.

One shot one kill should always be your goal. Aim small, miss small. If you're just slinging bullets everywhere you're not a responsible gun owner. You're a danger to everyone around you.

We need a ban on all semi-automatic weapons.

Lol headshots? Aiming center mass recommended for best chance of hit but more because most won’t hit anything else when required in tense situation.

No I wouldn't recommend a headshot while you're under duress. Save that for Call of Duty. Shooting is the easy part. Handling the stress and actually aiming with steady hands is the hard part.

Aim small miss small is about not just aiming center mass. It's about aiming for a small spot center mass. You're more likely to hit the bullseye if you're aiming for the bulleye and not just the center of the entire target.

Poster child for this gun-obsessed country...roofing company in South Florida is giving out a turkey and AR-15 with any new roof.

Yep, we are putting the Onion out of work one real-life story at a time.

I'm sure for everyone like me that scratches this company off my list there's three that will go out of their way to use them, he knows where he is (FL, USA).

I want to say my local volunteer EMS had a gun raffle fundraiser. It's not uncommon at all.

Which endlessly amuses me because everything I know I learned from my therapist except from what I experienced because I ran across Zen. I already knew that people believed in sacred cows to escape emotional pain, I just didn't know at that time that suffering was a product of being conditioned to hate oneself.

Perfect example why this country has a gun problem. Why not include the amour piercing ammo?

You should upgrade to a psychiatrist, the drugs make a world of difference. Be sure to get a good one, one that actually sits and talks to you every week or two for about forty minutes. All those drugs are mind altering and if the provider is not willing to put the time in to make sure your ok that is a red flag.

Zen is good stuff.

I had therapy with a psychologist many years ago and it was very effective. Delayed judgement day for about two decades for me.

But time does not heal and one day my past caught up to me. A psychiatrist can do far more.

Ex: the psychologist taught me how to deal with the endless stream of unwanted thoughts. The psychiatrist made them go away.

Ex: the psychologist gave me tools to mitigate the fear, anxiety, and alienation caused by my autism. The psychiatrist took the volume knob on those and turned them down.

Many years ago I used to go every day to a coffee shop where the janitor of the close by Catholic church was located. I used also to walk by that church almost every day. That janitor was an old may from Yugoslavia and his personal comfort zone was about 6 inches. He would grab me and pull me close to argue philosophy and religion with me and laugh his ass off at my lack of conscious awareness. He told me that his function at the church was to keep the priests awake. I love him because I could feel the tremendous life force within him. He was a man of real Christian faith, a man who was awake. I doubt there's one in a thousand psychiatrists at his level of BEING. My therapist was very much like him. I don't know what you imagine having gone through medical school and acquired a Doctors degree adds to a person's psychological development but your notions here are wasted on me. One of the greatest Sufi Saints was named if memory serves me, Arif the Rarely Parfumed. He was a garbage collector.

You might be surprised.

Firstly, odds are your therapist went through med school in order to get his psych degree. So yea, you already said hi to one doctor.

and secondly, residency requires a tremendous amount of focus, awareness, and endurance. And considerable suffering. More then you might realize.

Your above post is an argument for you to see a psychiatrist. Because you are either completely serious, or your mocking me.

If you are serious, your displaying narcissistic personality disorder.
If your making fun of me, borderline personality disorder.

Both are treatable.
