If the NCAA online leagues weren't so engrossing, I'd actually consider picking up Madden after reading the great initial previews from people who have the game already. NCAA 09 is keeping me plenty busy, though.

Let's shoot for a league start date of maybe next tuesday if we can? So a week after release, if we need to push it back for a few more days to make sure everyones got the game we can.



I assume everyone here is going to play fair and without cheese, honor system with AT and all. But if there are problems we will take care of them. Also, if we don't get the league completely full we will just play with however many teams we have.

So, I've read some early reviews and I decided I'm going to pass on Madden for the time being. NCAA '09 dynasty is just too engrossing. Please take me off the Seahawks.

I'm interested just have a few questions I'm hoping someone out there can answer.

I've never done an online league before but i am assuming that we each take control of our team and then we play the 09 schedule against each other? Do the two teams that are playing pick the time the game will be played or is there a set time? Also i believe i heard games could be played out of order if say your week 2 opponent isn't on you could play your week three? Last question i promise, How many games are going to played each week?

I'll make the switch. Also, XjustmeX, it appears the schedule is just a round robin style. You can play games out of order and then the best teams go to the playoffs, there isn't any divisions or anything like that. Also, there are no set times for games, you just play them when you can get online with the opponent at the same time.

I set trades to restricted mode, which means that teams can make simple 1 - 1 trades if they have played a similar amount of games, so keep that in mind. Also, it appears each team is going to play each other team one team throughout the season. Go ahead and join up whenever you guys are ready and if we get everyone in sooner we can start the league earlier than planned.




So Madden 09 will be coming out in less than two weeks and I know there are at least a few of you that are stoked about the online league play. Rather than trying to find some random people to start a league online with, lets just get the ATOT league going. We need 32 teams, and the way I figure it we will go with a first come first serve basis for the teams.


I'm in as #1 (since I created the thread I get the first pick, bwahahah) and I'll take my Cowboys.

Nobody really expressed a lot of interest in a fantasy draft so let's try it like this first. I'm not really to sure how a fantasy draft would even work, would everyone need to be online at the same time?

Out of curiosity, how good is everyone at madden? How long have you all be playing?

I feel I'm a very solid player. I won't win any major tournaments, mainly because I don't look for money plays or anything like that. I play solid defense and try to maintain a good running and passing attack. I'll make you earn your wins, lets put it like that.



On another note: Is anyone interested in trading a low to mid 80's receiver? I'm willing to give up one of my MLB's probably A.J. Burnett who is rated 82. (I'm the Cowboys btw).

He's cool, though not the greatest player. He's actually a big Giants fan, so if they get freed up before this starts he'd prefer to switch.

Actually, how does this work, anyway? Do we just need to constantly log in to the league page, see who we haven't played, see if they're online, and then invite them to a game? Or does the game provide a bit more guidance than that?
