I must say, I don't disagree with Mrs. Cheney. CNN clearly has a leftist agenda and I find their airing of terrorist propaganda akin to aiding the enemy.

Is there a video of this somewhere?

Who cares what Lynne Cheney thinks? You might as well quote Marilyn Quayle. The only thing I've ever heard of Lynne Cheney doing or saying was her writing a lesbian romance novel. Obviously she has a right to her opinion, but why would we care about it?

Well since a lot of the posters on here rip Fox on a regular basis it is nice to see someone do the same for CNN.

Perhaps our response on future Fox attacks shall be "Who cares what you think?"

EDIT: Video Link Here.

She brought up some good points. This is no surprise, CNN has always been very leftist.

The OP and many others here routinely lay into CNN. I care exactly the same amount about Lynne Cheney's opinion as I do about the OP's.

Now that is a partisan response if I ever saw one.

By the way, watch the video. Cheney rips Blitzer a new ass. He looks pathetic, and rightly so.

I suspect you'd have a slightly different take if this were one of your heroes ripping Fox News, for example.

I don't know that it's partisan - I never gave a crap about what Tipper Gore thought about rock lyrics, either. I guess Marilyn Quayle was a bad example - her stock should appropriately have risen now that we have essentially elected Dan Quayle President, twice.

Cheney is just bitter.

War sux.

Economy sux for most people.

Congress sux.

Her husband sux.

Her husband's apprentice sux.

And the public is emerging from the fog of the Bush junta BS.

Curiously, I don't recall Cheney complaining about CNN's pro-war propaganda before the Iraq debacle.

IIRC, you were interested, however, in Teresa Heinz-Kerry's opinion during the 2004 Election season. It's a damn shame the search engine doesn't work.

Note how Blitzer handled it. He didn't put a "hit" on her, he was very respectful, and answered her queries reasonably. Not sure if CNN went on a "look at the crazy" speil afterwards, but suspect they didn't. To some it may appear she Clintoned CNN, but really her whole set of objections and explanations was rather weak on the whole.

You're hallucinating. I will give you $20 if you can find a post in which I express an interest in Heinz-Kerry's opinion. I think she's a bright lady, but very very disagreeable, and she was a liability to him as a candidate.

Ultimately (and I'm not just being snide) I imagine Lynne Cheney is really frustrated that her husband is one of the least-loved political figures in modern history. I'm sure she loves him and believes in him, and it must be infuriating that he is so widely disliked. I have to imagine that she shares (or at least approves of) his wacky neoconservative views, and so she may well view him as a visionary for largely dreaming up and implementing the PNAC agenda.

I'm glad you agree that Cheney is just bitter and flailing.

That usually IS the response.
I agree, who gives a crap what that old bag says?

how is CNN leftist? any chance of giving us a few examples of leftists propoganda that extends beyond reporting the truth?

I mean, I can turn on Fox news at any hour of the day and find pro-republican bias within 15 minutes (in fact, I've done it several times on these forums and would do it right now if I had a TV nearby). I don't think CNN really compares on any level.

Listen.

Liberals will say CNN is not biased, and that Fox News is biased towards conservatives.
Conservatives will say Fox News is not biased, and that CNN is biased towards liberals.

Just learn to live with it people.

Watching the tape, I fail to see how she "rips" him, but I think she is reasonably effective and seems like a bright person. I still don't care one whit what she thinks about CNN, however.

I think even Conservatives agree that Fox News is biased. In my opinion parts on CNN reflect a more leftist thinking right now, because the moderate American base is leaning left at the moment. But CNN is definitely not a puppet news network; I'm not sure the same can be said of Fox.
