you know if CNN wants to report fairly what is going on, then why don't they show American forces taking out insurgents?

I mean come on, if I am going to see any body die it's the person tryng to kill my fellow countrymen, NOT watching my fellow countrymen die.

all CNN is doing is showing Americans getting killed and then shouting "See!! THIS is the horror of war!!" why can't they do that when an American soldier shoots the enemy full of holes?

The reason they don't show the latter is it doesn't fit their leftist political agenda. The whole foray of disseminating enemy propaganda was designed to attempt to influence the November 7 elections here. The terrorists, in fact, even said that themselves. Which makes CNN's airing of it even more blatantly ridiculous.

Anyone who actually watched the video I linked can see Wolf Blitzer fidgeting and grasping for words. The greatest portion is when Cheney asks him if he wants America to win. HE ACTUALLY PAUSES as if he had to think about that a moment. Stunning.

Hehehehehe, I was intrigued by this post so I decided to watch the video for myself. All I can say, Pabster, is that you better stay away from the Rorschach deck.

No, I'm not going to listen to you Vich, because you're wrong. CNN is not liberal; FOx does have a strong right-wing slant. So, concluding that they're the same is wrong. Of course you, who have a right-wing bias, would like them be equated as equally partisan.

It's like saying "Listen. Nazis will say that FDR is a bad leader, and Americans will say that Hitler is a bad leader. Just learn to live with it, and stop arguing that one side or the other is true. They're just mirror images."

Same with Lynne Cheney and Teresa Heinz-Kerry; just because they're each women who have expressed views doesn't make them similarly correct any more than saying FDR and Stalin were both leaders of major nations expressing views, so they were equally worth listening to, equally correct.

RIght-wingers love to evade the evaluation of the content of messages and equate things on the surface when they lose on the content. They do this constantly.

In 'revenge' for the democrats forcing Nixon's resignation, whle he deserved it, that was a main motivation for their trying to do the same to Clinton, who did not, by greatly inflating his wrong. After the demcorats rightly voted down Robert Bork for the Supreme Court as a radical, they went after good democratic nominees in revenge.

Now that we had a "Clinton moment' of him attacking a Fox reporter, the right demands a 'moment' in response of a right-winger attacking the station they've demonized.

It's like watching that cult who insisted there was a comet ride waiting for them - the facts just don't matter to them. Ideology has twisted them.

in fact, what's on CNN right now? american soldiers fighting insurgents.

Why can't the news media show tasteful, respectful pictures of the dead American heros coming home?? I guess reality only matters when it bolsters the NeoCon's case.

Well I don't know if CNN's talking about it this afternoon, but Fox News is about to do a segment on media bias on CNN featuring.... Lynne Cheney's interview.

don'cha just love fox...in a strong show of media bias, they try to ambush clinton, and instead get it turned on themselves in hilarious fashion as clinton ducks their sucker punch and throws a flurry of his own for a knockout. then, in true hypocritical fashion, when they get tit-for-tatted, fox complains about something they cooked up to begin with.

i guess that's what happens when you try to grab more market share by pandering to a select group of people and spiting the rest.

All I hear is talk about "America winning". Winning what? The war on terror? If so, I ask again - Why the hell did we bother with Iraq???? They weren't a problem until we turned them into one. We fueled the fire by screwing up a region, proving that the US is in fact a threat, which only served to justify the thinking of the radicals.

If we're talking about Iraq then, shouldn't we be hoping that Iraq wins? We're supposedly there fighting for their democracy, right? At least I think that's the latest excuse for being there.

Story here.

I must say, I don't disagree with Mrs. Cheney. CNN clearly has a leftist agenda and I find their airing of terrorist propaganda akin to aiding the enemy.

EDIT: Video Link Here.

She brought up some good points. This is no surprise, CNN has always been very leftist.

Yet CNN is clearly to the right side of P&N.

I flipped on CNN a few times today and no mention of Cheney. I think CNN is more interested in broadcasting news than broadcasting an agenda, unlike Fox.

I find it funny that Lynne Cheney is worried about CNN airing "terrorist propaganda". If the U.S. position is right, and the terrorist propaganda is wrong/immoral/evil what have you, then what in the world is she worried about? What could they possibly say to sway the American public? Or anyone for that matter? I haven't seen the "terrorist propaganda video" but to make it an issue just seems like she is flailing, or whining. She seems to want to blame CNN for the problems in Iraq, and the war on terror as a whole. Iran and NK thumb their noses at the US and so she goes off on CNN trying to put the blame on them? Wants to attack libs/dems for the problems with U.S. foreign policy? FFS it seems like repubs want to blame the other side even when it is THEM in power! Does this seem senseless to anyone else or is it just me?

they got full control of the government but it's the all the libs fault for everything that's "not really" going bad. can you hear it?

neocons: "whoops, looks like the business plan we sketched up on that napkin over breakfast for taking over iraq ain't panning out....call out a liberal whipping boy from the basement. any one will do. they're going to pay for making us screw things up the way we did. why, if we weren't to this day so distracted by clinton and monica, we would have surely done this iraq deal right. damn libs...always making us screw things up."

I woulda paused too.

It's a stupid question. And exactly why I won't bother watching the interview. Anyone who asks that question is obviously trying to ambush someone and pick a fight.

Topic Title: Lynne Cheney Rips CNN
Topic Summary: Interview with Wolf Blitzer turns Cheney in to the interviewer!

 to the OP for false Title

Mods really should ask for a more acurate Title, more like Lynn Cheney gets testy with Wolf Blizter trying to smear Jimm Webb.

She did not rip Blitzer a new one.

She was the one full of bull.

I don't know about Cheney ripping CNN a new one but from what I saw of that interview it did seem like Blitzer ambushed her when she was just suppose to be there to discuss her new Children's book. Looks like he took a page from Fox news and it was just as disgusting as when Fox does it.
