It wasn't there this morning, but then in the evening I felt it when I was checking out my piercing :(
It's underneath the skin and not visible. I thought it might have something to do with my piercings, so I went to see my piercer. She said that it's probably not cancerous, but it also doesn't have anything to do with the piercing. Apparently she had the same thing, and said that it could be come disease of the fatty tissue or glands (??).
Now someone has told me that it might be cellulitis and that I should see a doc ASAP. :(
I just hope that I can get an appointment for tomorrow, which is kinda bad since we have sooo much stuff to do at work, and I would be missing a few hours.

Update
Well, I just got back. What I have is cellulitis - an infection, most likely caused by the piercing.
So, go ahead and have a good laugh at the stupid girl whose nipple got infected from a piercing.

But before you start ranting about how piercings are bad: This is the only piercing out of 10 that has ever given me any problem despite proper care.

I hope it turns out to be nothing but a blemish that goes away. Maybe a bug bite or something like that?

Hey, I have been there, and after a simple ultrasound, they were able to determine it really was not anything to worry about. It is scary as heck though, just try to relax, and remember your young, so you have time on your side. Also, if your sure it was not there this morning, then it might be something as simple as a clogged duct. It's smart of you to go to the doctor though, its always better to be safe than sorry. :)

It's underneath the skin and not visible. And it must have just appeared between this morning when I took a shower and like 7:30 :(

Thanks, Girlfriday

At your age it should really be nothing to be concerned about...probably either an inflammatory process or something benign like a fibroadenoma (not as scary as it sounds :)) Still, make an appt. to see your physician.

EDIT: If it appeared over the course of one day, in all likelyhood it's an inflammatory process.

Cancerous tumours wouldn't grow in over the course of a day. It's obviously an inflamation or something. Do have it looked at though...not by anyone here! ;)

I am working on being a Doc. I would need to see...?

Looks like I won the bet, I bet my friend that in less than five minutes of your first post there'd be a perverted post ... Now if only I had thought of a wager, damned!

Seriously though give your doc a call and GirlFriday how would you unclog a duct? What is a duct?

At least you caught it early - whatever it is. You have my best wishes, this comes from a guy who's mother's side of the family has a history of breast cancer :(

It's probably nothing but a slight infection at most but it never hurts to see the doctor.

I hope everything turns out all right.

Lump by my nipple

Aren't women supposed to have a lump by their nipples?

Hope it turns out as nothing Toolgirl.

scrapster, if you didn't have a lump by your nipple then it suddenly showed up i bet you would go get it checked.

There are plenty of reasons that aren't that bad whyit could be there but toolgirl is understandably a little nervous.

Again, I hope everything turns out ok.

Hope it's nothing but the only way you can be sure is to visit your doctor. You will only get misinformed information from some people.

If you are in your teens I would say its a swollen lymph node. I'm a guy and when I was a teenager I used to get swollen lymph nodes in my throat and my nipples(yes, males have lymph nodes in their nipples).

Still get it checked if it persists but I really would not worry about it and i'm sure your doctor will confirm my suspiscions, but since i'm not a doctor and even if I were I have not seen it,so you should still get it looked at.

cancerous growths don't happen overnight. I wouldn't be worried about it unless a doctor said otherwise. Of course, do see a doctor right away, in case he/she knows something we do not.

LordMaul: nice comment, remind me to poke jokes at you when you get some lumps in your scrotum....

Best wishes of course toolgirl, my guess is that everything is fine, but as always, its definatley worth seeing a doctor about. You aren't by chance working on a cold you think are you?

I agree with the others, nothing to worry about. Anything real serious takes time to grow, if you perform regular checks and you are sure this wasnt there before you have no worries. Still go to the doc's and have it checked, could be an infection
