Hello,
I just started testing the waters with my new HD 4890, but the scores seem low I am guessing my CPU is the bottleneck but need to know for sure.
So i have the 2 new Seagate 500gb's in Raid0
I have a Q6600 clocked at 3.78Ghz
and 2GB of Patriot Ram running at 1008Mhz DDR
The clocks on the HD4890 are at stock.
Hence in 3DMark06 I only get a score of : 14444 points
I had already upgraded my PSU
it's a corsair TX750 watts, I got this because it has 1 x 12v rail with 60 frigging Amps giving out 720 od the watts.
Isn't this enough?
But in the past when I used to bench with my old antec 500watts
the benches would crash they would not complete.
with the corsair PSU my 3DMark06 test actually finishes
So I don't get it
what's up with DAT?
:disgust:
