I'm surprised Notes is still in such wide use.
I used to be at a company that used Notes, while overall I was annoyed by it, it did have some cool integration features, we did EVERYTHING in Notes, not only email, but you could put in your expenses, billable hours, look up project specs, all kinds of stuff, totally integrated. Whereas most companies on outlook dont go beyond email and scheduling meetings. Notes drawbacks was that it was slow and clunky, not interoperable with ANYTHING outside of its own interface without pulling some seroius teeth.
used Outlook 2003 for years and was very happy with it. User 2007 now and so far its pretty similar. I dont use it in Exchange mode, because I like to integrate my personal emails as well. So I have just get my work emails via pop3 and route them into a work folder.
