Lotus Notes or OutLook?

I'm using Lotus Notes at Instinet, both the previous companies used Outlook.

Lotus Notes seems slower and more awkward to use, it may just be the vervsion we're on, 6.5 though. Having to undock emails is a bit of a pain if I want them in a smaller window!

On the upside I do have four 17" monitors and a Herman Miller Aeron chair.

We're on Lotus Notes here. It really is a lot slower. It's also a royal pain in the ass to set up for people too.

Yep we use Lotus Notes here also. I really wish it was easier to set up.. especially when transferrings users to new PC's.
And trying to explain the difference between regular Lotus Notes and Home Notes to users is a real PITA.

Lotus Notes here. Slow, unstable, poor UI, I hate it. Fortunately I haven't had to set it up for someone in over a year.

Outlook 2k3 at work, web based at home (gmail, yahoo, college account, etc)

Usually outlook is good, but some days the server just is sooo slow it makes email basically unusable

Outlook, and since I do desktop support I support it as well. I came from a company that used Lotus Notes, where I also did desktop support for 3.5 years. Let me tell you if you hate Lotus Notes as a user, imagine supporting that POS.

I've been using double Right-Click to close windows in notes. It is the way to go. You might have to turn it on in user preferences.

I just use ESC, but double right click does work. I like it, thanks 🙂

Anyone here use Notes and actually LIKE it?

Who is making the decisions to use it!?

Notes here unfortunately, and I have to administer domino, which is unbelievely retarded compared to Exchange/Outlook

The only reason we use it here is because we have a design admin on site and there are TONS of things integrated, like timesheets, a common file database, PTO requests, etc.

I like the ESC short cut key 😀

Is there a way to reply to an email with the 'history' of it by default or do I have to go to the Reply and then down to "Reply with history" option? 🙁 REALLY annoying is that I can't just reply and get a windowed reply box but it is tabbed so how can I untab something quickly?

We use lotus here. It has got to be the worst email client. Slow, buggy, poor layout, not user friendly, cludgy. Outlook is *FAR* better.
