Idaho is an easier flip just based on sheer numbers. Well fewer than a million votes were cast for president in 2020.
I met 3 guys from Idaho at an affair in San Diego a couple years ago and had a short chat with them. After they told me the population I remarked, "that's practically unpopulated!"

California is turning into Turd.
We might lose Bacon.

We lost Gaming PC's because of energy rating.
This includes GSync Monitors possibly...

Our legislators think everyone should be on Apple and gaming is limited to "mobile Apps"

FML... i really wish i could move the hell out of this state.
But were not liked ANYWHERE, and everyone tells us go back once they see our ID.

Its bad to a point where when i travel out of state, i am hesistant to even show my ID, as i know the moment i do, my treatment is usually going to get worse then if they never knew.

Link to why we are hated.

Er, you know Apple has devices with 120Hz refresh rates, right?

Entire state has got like half the population of just the San Diego MSA.

As someone who had a California ID for a decade the number of times someone gave me a nasty remark based on seeing where I was from could be counted on zero fingers.

I don't know what you're doing or where you're going where this is happening but you're meeting some really weird people.

Can a AT forum staff please bring back the down vote option into the, post reaction emoticon selection menu (the like button menu). We have found a useful use for it again.

I wish they'd bring back the rep meter. Was the single best tool for dealing with the trolls on here. Even better if they'd weight posts by it so that after enough downvotes it'd autohide the trash and best yet would be if it did the same for their threads or even revoke their ability to make threads if their threads kept getting extensive negative votes.

Kinda funny that the California trash are dems.. Your words, not mine. You are either a liar or an idiot,. Read what you just posted. You're tolerant but they are trash?

I'm a transplanted Californian. I was born and raised in California. I live near Seattle now. Political tolerance is a lie.
I quoted your word "trash", that's what you call the "transplanted Californian". Does that make you "trash" as well?

California has banned most housing other than single family detached homes in most of the state, yes.

So basically California can replace existing houses, but is unable to make substantial numbers of additional housing units in most of the populated areas. It's led to a massive humanitarian crisis, in case you hadn't noticed, haha.
Well, there are 49 other states.
I had a similar problem thirty years back. The area I wanted to live in only had detached single family homes and prices started around two million dollars. I didn't have two million dollars so I had to move to a less desirable area.
Just a few short miles from me is a massive apartment complex that's never been full. Oddly enough, the homes near it sell in a week or less for many thousands over asking price. Why do those apartments sit empty while the near bye homes are so desirable?

How exactly are we supposed to interrogate this assertion?

Give us the county so we can see what median rents are at least.

Exactly - people are leaving California because their housing bans have caused prices to become unaffordable. This is literally my point!

How do you know these apartments are empty? Regardless, CA vacancy rate is below 5% statewide so the idea that there's a housing crisis because lots of its housing stock is sitting vacant is not correct.

While im ok with all that. A simple ignore does the same function though. I have almost every single conservatard poster in P&N on ignore. I have no time for their misinformed, disingenuous, idiotic, hateful posts.

trying to be truthful with yourself is the first step on your long road to recovery...until you actually accept what is true and what is not you can rightly go fuck your self in the ass with a rusty fence post!

I thought someone would i included links.
And i dare you to show your ID in a state like Arizona Texas or Montana.

It doesn't help im also Asian, so i also have that going against me.

mm OK.... i have no comment as i am net negative on society, as i feel were headed the wrong direction overall.

I have in all of those places many many times over the last 15 yeas, as well as in many other bright red backwater places like the Dakotas, GA, SC, FL, UT, WY, LA, MO and not a single time has anyone questioned me or treated me with anything but the expected customer respect that happens everywhere else I have been. It didn't matter if it was a large city, small town, or 2 bit population of 12 place. Based on my experience, your cute anecdotes has something else going on beyond your CA ID.

I'm happy to hear it!

As you can see, 2/3rds of the state has a ban on housing other than single family homes. This is a catastrophically bad idea.

Thank you for the link. From your link:
In California, more than two-thirds of all residential land is dedicated solely to single-family homes. And a New York Times analysis found that those results are pretty consistent across the country, with an average of 75% of land dedicated to single-family homes in 10 large American cities.
ekk!
What a failure of policy.

There are way to many people in CA already, we could stand to lose another five or ten million.
I plan on doing my part. I'm leaving and selling my home to some poor soul that needs a place to live.
Don't bother thanking me, it's just the kind of guy I am.

Firstly, all CA is doing is to require that pigs be raised in a enclosure large enough for them to stretch out.
In short, the captive cages where they are unable to move are no longer allowed. Pigs are some of the more intelligent animals, and a small pathetic measure of humanity toward them would be good for all of our souls.
so double the size of the cage so they can turn around.
why not add a 2nd pig in there so they can both turn around? (albeit at the same time)

that way the producer has the same amount of pigs per square foot.
win/win?

You would think the pork industry would do so. But they seem uninterested in such changes.

The end result will simply be two industries, one that makes Pork for the blue states, and one that makes it for the red states.

Blue or Red pigs, in the end they will all get killed and taken to market and end up beside some eggs and toast on a plate.

No it really doesn't, because its not about me seeing that shit, its about actually addressing it. The rep meter actually changed their behavior, with several of them that had been shitposting significantly reducing that behavior, while the ones that were always worthless pieces of shit and didn't post anything worthwhile ever (John Connor) left after whining about it. Some came back after they did away with it. It also would've helped deal with a lot of the trash that ruined the forum (i.e. the fanboy junk in some of the forums).

Putting them on ignore has just increased the amount of shitposting they do.

Maybe i missed that phase of anandtech. How would it change their behavior of shit posting?

And if they are on ignore, who cares how much shit posting they do? You dont see it haha

Where I live there were whacky regulations that prohibited most multi-family residence from being over four stories. Thankfully that was changed in recent years.
