I don't know if Ben counts as one of the "Oceanic 6", as he wasn't on the plane. Aaron may or may not be the 5th person. We need to confirm that he's Claire's kid first.

I also don't think that Ben is one of the 6. Aaron is one I believe since in the previews for last week they said that they'd reveal one other of the Oceanic 6, and besides Aaron, they didn't reveal anyone else and I'm pretty sure that's Claire's baby.

The only one that was hardcore was the one that got killed by locke. Two epsiodes ago Naomi was complaining to her employer that she would not be able to watch out for the 4 others since they had no tactical training and they were jsut being brought along for thier other skills. I don't the other 4 actually know the full scope of what is behind the employers motives.

I don't think they abandoned anything. The fake plane isn't a new idea. Its actually been mentioned in previous seasons. Its not going anywhere.

i don't remember the fake crashed plane they found being mentioned in the earlier seasons.

i know they jump around like jack rabbits on crack, but i figured they'd give that a little more closure or something. or at least a mention.

I'm trying to remember the exact incident but in a previous season one character said that he saw them (the oceanic survivors) dead. That their plane had been found and there were no survivors. Thats one of the reasons why everyone was talking about the purgatory idea.

i was under the impression they were just assuming they were dead, like people who disappear and after a certain amount of time they are presumed dead. maybe they did mention it and i forgot tho.

I was under the impression the found flight 815 was fake. Remember the helicopter pilot (of the group of 4) called the airline saying that is not 815 because his friend who was the captain never took off his wedding ring. There was no ring on the pilot in the found wreckage which he saw on video. Not sure if it is typical to recover the bodies in this instance or if they would just make the wreckage thier final resting place.

I think the six include Sun and Jin since Sun will die if she stays on the island so she has the most to gain by leaving. Plus their episode is next.

What's the point of knowing spoilers and watching the show? You guys are no fun. I refuse to read any spoiler. Hell I don't even read these forums when I'm watching the show cause I know how idiots around here tend to spoil it for everyone else.

yeah i know about that much, but after that they just dropped it. he was saying they mentioned the plane in previous seasons, not this season.

I'm under the impression that it wasn't fake, but what the 'island' had created to be visible to the rest of the world. Remember, the island wasn't supposed to be visible when this whole thing began, and it popped up on the radar or something.
With this episode confirming that the island is likely 'off' from the rest of the world (based on the time of the two clocks of the experiment, one on the island, and one from the rocket fired from the ship). The plane appearing in the water actually seems kind of likely based on all the other crazy shit the island has presented. Considering it appears nobody knows what the hell the smoke monster is, and then you get the guy in the cabin (can't remember his name) who is both invisible and visible and not everyone can hear him.

from what i could tell in the sayid episode it appears that ben is able to get on and off the island at will (drawers full of foreign currency, foreign passports, a picture of him appearing off the island that Miles had).

this would explain how he was able to manifest locke's father.
