I'm still ticked that Sayid is now being referred to as Iraqi when he is an Israeli that was in their military. The show just 'switched' him to being Iraqi last season which was stupid I thought.

When Sayid was introduced in the first season during his first back story (I believe) he was Israeli. Then last season they turned him into an Iraqi.

DeathBUA, he said he was Israeli in the first season in his back story. They changed it last season to being Iraqi. It was talked about on here and we even talked about it at work.

ETA - After looking at the wiki links, I don't believe that's the way he was originally presented. He was presented differently later.

In one of the first episodes he said he was in the Republican Guard. He told that to Hurley when Hurely asked him something about serving in the Gulf, Sayid said yeah, on the other side... something like that.

If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. But I wasn't the only one that remembered Israeli the first season and then Iraqi the second season. LOL
