They hyped it like there were 3 "huge" questions to be answered. Instead, we get a lame Jack story...

 for this episode.

I think I'm going to quit watching this show, it's just turning into crap. There's maybe one good show every 3 shows, then it's more crap. /rant

I think the "three answers" comes from when Jack was talking to Alex and she said something like, "that's three answers, now answer my question.."

Whatever positive momentum they gained in last week's episode, they sure as heck lost it after this one. Almost nothing happened in this episode. The Others left the little island and... that's it. They could have at least shown where they were going. Even the flashbacks were more pointless than usual. It seems like they just wanted another Jack flashback, so they made up a crappy story about his crappy tattoo and tried to create significance where there is none.

This episode made me join the LOST hating bandwagon. Anyone got a pitchfork or a torch they can spare?

Kinda pointless episode, Jack gets a tattoo and then gets beat up...hmmm that makes sense cause those asians are pretty pissy about who gets tattoos while in their country.

Anyways let's review the entire show:

1. Big dinosaur thing that eats the pilot is never explained

2. Polar bear

3. Walt has powers or something, goes home with Michael.

4. The Hatch and magnetism or is it time travel ?

5. The others, are they a cult or what and why don't they just introduce themselves, why kidnap and torture ?

6. The numbers 4 8 x x x x x x

7. Sigh ok I'm to tired to finish my list right now.

1) The Others are not originally from the island
2) The Others dont live on the "surgery" island
3) The Others have a new "sheriff" in town

Are those the ones we were to expect?

These were the three answers I thought of:

1) Meaning of Jacks tatoos
2) What happened to Cyndy the flight attendent and the kids.
3) The Others don't live on the Cage island, their little suburbia in the jungle is on another island.

Of course the third big secret revealed could be that Jack has a thing for trashy women.

The problem with Lost is that after the sucess of the 1st season, they decided to have some grand 5-6 season storyline. I have no doubt they have an idea of where the show is going, the problem is that if the series is six seasons long, the scope is so huge that each episode can only create new questions and never answer them. I bet they'll spend the rest of this season and all of next season about the "Others", and the remaining seasons about the "island."

I hope ABC slaps them upside the head with the ratings report and makes them finish the series in four seasons.

I thought it was pretty good. I do find these threads amusing every week with half of you crying bout how youre going to stop watching. And its only just the start of the season so i dont know why anyone expects anything relevant to come out right now. Its just a show, quit acting like if you figure it out you save the planet.

haha...seriously. You read my mind.

Also, the point is to create drama and convery a story...If we get all of the answers right now, what would be the point in watching. I think that there is plenty of action, suspense, drama, whatever to keep me interested in the show. And there's plenty for all of the complainers out there too.

And while i LOVE Heroes, I cant help but thinking they are rushing this too fast and then at the end of the season am I going to be like now what?

Three answers I was hoping for were:

1. The numbers
2. The motive of the others
3. The reason for the NAMBLA facility

Instead I learn about a tattoo. WTF

LOL 😱

Sorry I got confused... I turned on the TV to watch it last night and they were showing the last few minutes of the previous episode.

Bai Ling Reveals All About Her Sex Life - 15 Jan 2007
Chinese actress Bai Ling enjoys sex so much she wants to die while making love. The bisexual 36-year-old, who will appear in TV drama Lost later this year, is so obsessed with sex she sleeps with as many men and women as possible.

She says, "Anything you can imagine... I've done it! It's in my nature to just run wild and I do. I love being naked and I love men and women - especially when I'm drunk. Sex is the best high. I want to die making love because it feels so good."

Ling also admits she doesn't class one-night stands and serious relationships any differently, saying, "For me, a one night stand and a lifetime commitment are the same. There's a lot of beauty in different men. You can't see just one man. It's too hard to choose. Before I get married I think I should enjoy it. I don't live by the rules."

I loved last week's episode. Desmond is a very interesting character and not a whole lot was known about his past. His flashback, while not all that revealing, did give us some insight into his past and how he got on the island. It was full of action, suspense, drama, love, time travel, daring rescues, the lady from the Matrix, bar fights, etc.

Now, in this week's episode, Jack had yet another flashback episode, but it was about some tattoo on his shoulder and how he got beat up by the natives in Thailand. Not exactly a major revelation. Nothing in the episode furthered the story line, except that the Others are done with the secondary island. I'm ok with answers not being given. That's nothing new with Lost. The problem was that you could remove this episode from the series and there would be no gap in the story. It served no purpose.

hong kong I think

Looked like Thailand

it looked like a place that had a beach, which could be possibly a multitude of answers.

Thailand.
Ive been to that exact location 🙂

really, because from what I've read, the whole episode was shot in Hawaii.

also, for all of you cursing them for not answering the 3 questions, blame ABC. The producers said in their podcast that ABC was responsible for that marketing, and they had nothing to do with it, and didn't like that ABC was stringing people along for ratings.
