co-worker pointed this out to me, which was pretty cool. type in the following at maps.google.com, 4.815 162.342 (the numbers are coincidentally coordinates as well) and zoom out a bit. turns out these coordinates might be the position where the island is (flight path between austraila and los angeles).

now THAT is very cool

WOW!!!!... that is awesome

Dude, those were like the only questions they *did* answer in this episode!

The book on the bed the third policeman I looked it up and this is the description
Book Description
Fiction. The last of O'Brien's novels to be published and now reissued by Dalkey Archive, THE THIRD POLICEMAN is Flann O'Brien's brilliant comic novel about the nature of time, death, and existence. Told by a narrator who has committed a botche d robbery and brutal murder, the novel follows him and his adventures in a two-dimensional police station where he is intruduced to "Atomic Theory" and its relation to bicycles, the existence of eternity (which turns out to be just down the road), and the view that the earth is not round but "sausage-shaped."

More on the book:

Dalkey published "The Third Policeman" in 1999 and printed 15,000 copies. It printed another 10,000 copies in August. Those are almost gone, but another 10,000 are on the way to the north Normal warehouse, to chain stores and to Amazon.com.

its now #35 on amazon.com's rank
😛

Where was this book? Are you talking about the books that Locke pulled off the bookshelf when he was looking for the film? I still need to go back and take a closer look at those.

i thought he looks like Jin's father in law. also i heard that Locke's father is the same man who conned Sawyer's parents...

That site Qwest posted from is nice. Its a VERY small forum it seems, but it does a nice job of rounding up all the othe bazillian theories from all the other bazillion Lost forum boards that are just too clustered to bother with

thinking about it more.. I would be mucho POed if Jin turns out to know english the whole time. that whole preview clip BETTER from a dream or vision or something. there's WAY too many situations where he just plain didn't know it and you can't logic a reason why he wouldn't have capitalized on his knowledge.

Wait wait wait
the wheel of Dahrma is 6 spoked.
There are 6 stations (Swan is #3)

Six Worlds

The six spokes divide the wheel into six sections which represent the Six Worlds (or Realms) of Existence. These Six Worlds are:

1. the World of Devas or Gods
2. the World of Asuras, Demigods, Titans, Fighting Demons
3. the World of Humans
4. the World of Animals
5. the World of Hungry Ghosts
6. the World of Hell

when this series ends they (the writers) has to write a book and explain all this sh!t

great, so this is just like 24 threads where retards have to ruin next weeks shows by talking about the previews... ugh...
OMG it freaking says SPOILER in the title

even with that, you should know better

secondly, it was presented BY the writers of the show. everything is calculated. if they didnt want you to see it it would not have been aired at all so how can you consider it a spoiler. just because it reveals some of the story? hell by that attitude you shouldnt even watch the show itself bc it "spoils" the story too

UGH, so many plot twists, yet so little plot development. Too many unanswered questions, and now there are even more new questions.

First era-
What was the monster?
How is Locke able to walk?
etc. etc.

Middle-
What's up with taking the baby/kid?
etc.

Later-
Who were those people on the boat?
What's up with the button?
Who are the others?

too much.

Jin can speak perfect english in the previews :Q

i hate when they ruin the reveal just for a preview. think how awesome next week's episode would be if they saved that reveal...

I bet it's a red herring, and Jin never appears in that scene in the show!
