agreed 100%, but I think the unfixable problem with Everest now, is that the time window to summit is extremely limited each year, and can be rather unpredictable within that time frame, so it will naturally make these trips very crowded....because it has come very easy for people to do this and it's not like delaying their trip years out for a less-crowded time is going to make a difference.
I think they need to triple, quadruple, up the cost 10x for these package tours, with vastly more limited time slots to do it. Then allow proper licensed, real mountaineers their own time period and choice of what they need to do it.
Last I recall, the cost for these Everest trains is about $20k per person? The sherpas are clearly undercharging, if the same type of MINO idiots are dropping $250k, 500k to mail their corpses down to the bottom of the sea or fly off into "space" for minutes.
