I think you guys are looking way too much into it. You're going all Jade Helm.

I see a guy who talked about waste and expansion of executive power doing the same things. He is also looking to get his people on his side by doing big shows of power. While we are very very very very far from N.K., it is still a huge waste for at best little gain. If his goals are really just the things you talked about, its at best escalation.

Lol you keep comparing the response to this to Jade Helm. That was right wing nut jobs saying Obama was going to use that to cease military control over the country and imprison people in Walmarts. That is not the same to the responses on this that object to the imagery and cost of such an action.

Just stop.

And now the left thinks Trump having a military parade is him being a fascist. Let me know when he collects our guns and suspends the constitution. But a parade? LOL.

Reasons we do not have military parades for no reason. This, from a retired Army veteran.

1. The military does not exist to glorify our president or any politician.

2. Shows of strength rather than shows of respect or victory are cheap, petty actions of tin pot dick taters.

3. The US is not a military state (well, it's not supposed to be, anyhow).

No, his belief that he can run the Presidency like a bad CEO, without the checks and balances of a democratic government and with an insistence on loyalty above integrity... that's fascist. This is merely the reflection of fascist behavior.

Some will. What I am saying is that fascists tend to have a set of personality traits that Trump also has, and parades is something they love to do. Trump will never be able to do most of what fascists do because we have safeguards in place for now, but, this sure looks self-aggrandizing to me.

It's a waste of money from a President and party that have gleefully cut social programs that likely cost less. It would exist solely to feed Trump's ego. We will not relax; we will not be craven, apologist cowards like you.

I think its a waste of money too. I don't think its fascist.

Color me shocked that Cadet Bone Spurs wants a military parade. He likes the trappings and perception of the military but was never willing to put in the work or the sacrifice to be a part of it.

Kind of a microcosm of the entire rest of his life, haha. Have we ever had a lazier person as president?

Like I said, it's a reflection of fascist behavior. It's designed to feed Trump's ego, to reinforce the notion that he's in charge of a big, dick-waving army. It's like the Nuremberg rally; not the problem, but the symptom of the problem.

A military parade is a symptom of a problem? I just cannot agree. We show off our military all the time. We have dedicated military performers, like the Blue Angels. We parade our carriers and ships around, we hold military exercises to show off our might. You guys have Trump-phobia and over exaggerate just about everything about him, then you believe this exaggerated caricature and attack it as if it is reality.
