I don't think that we should re-visit that discussion; it's too off-topic. I would prefer to focus on these protests.

It's still going badly, riots continue, adding more cities, fires, cars on fire etc. It's awful, some beautiful areas being decimated by these morons.

Hopefully it's just an issue of allocation of manpower. Cameron put more men in London and London is quiet but other areas around the country are flaring up.

That seems valid, well it seems as though our football fans are banding together and protecting certain areas of London, which I whole heartedly support, The police have made 600 confirmed arrests over the last 48 hours or so! Which is a great start, we need to get these people off the streets, under lock and key, Ideally we should just have vans of police driving around grabbing them off the streets and shoving them in the van never to be heard of again. bait

Vigilante justice is never appropriate. If this happens, there will be international repercussions. The UK government would effectively be illegitimate and international peacekeepers should be sent in.

I don't think that we'll see UK citizens go in and commit mass murder against the protesters.

I think they feel that as things get worse they will be the ones to feel the burden. I think they feel like they have little to lose. And mostly, I think they are angry about all this.

These things make them dangerous people. They are not the most intelligent of Brittan’s citizens. They don’t make big speeches, write the local newspaper, or organize rallies. When these people get angry they break shit.

Things are getting broke.
Hitting them is not going to fix this.

You're speculating. They're not mutes. They can make themselves be heard. They could be telling people that their upset with the establishment, they could be carrying signs with slogans, they could be attacking police stations, banks, symbols of the establishment. They're not doing any of those things. They're stealing video games from their neighborhood shops.
