There's truth in the part about them rushing games out and not fixing their broken games.
C&C Generals, which otherwise is a great game, was riddled with stability issues, gameplay issues, and networking issues. At first they tried to fix it, but then they just went quiet on their message boards, finally abandoning the game.

Westwood studios 4 eva! C&C is the only franchise I'd buy from EA.

Except that Westwood Studios was dismantled, and now exists only in name - most of those developers don't even work for EA anymore.

Valve != EA....
Unless there was a purchase that I'm not aware of.

Definitely. EA is the laziest company out there yet they are the #1 third party.

An example of this is that my brother in law bought my nephew a DS, and picked up NFS: Most Wanted because he likes racing games. I checked IGN for a review, after seeing it rated at a 4, I don't even want to SEE the game being played. A score of 4 isn't bad when the scale is out of 4 or 5... but it's out of 10. Anything that gets a score below 7 shouldn't be on a shelf. Why did he buy it? Name recognition, and the car. If he had told me earlier I would've run back to the store he got it from and got Mario Kart DS. (which we both agreed is totally sweet)

I got my brother an Xbox 360 and Madden for Christmas, and I was surprised by how bad Madden is. You can't create your own play like you could for the last 10 f'in years, and 2 players can't even play on the same team! Same-team multiplayer was available for the last 15 years at least, but not now.
