<< Microsoft Explorer, life time warranty with no questions... >>

yeah thats why i got myne from them...hehe free....when they say no questions asked they really mean it..since they didnt ask me if i actauly owned one that i was getting a *replacement* for... lol

Being a thief is bad. Bragging about it here is worse. Keep your fraud exploits to yourself, or you will find yourself bragging at some other forum.

Forgive me if this is too simplistic an answer, but buy whichever one fits your hand the best. An uncomfortable mouse sucks no matter what the price or warranty is like. And if you do any gaming, make sure you buy one of the higher-end products. The cheapo optical mice (even from Microsoft and Logitech) only scan movement about a quarter as often as the better ones, so the mouse will spazz-out on really quick moves.

Microsoft because of their unparalleled warranty service. If your mouse breaks, you call them up and within 3 days (sometimes less) you have a brand new mouse at your door, no questions asked and you do not have to send the old one back.

microsoft cause i'm not satisfied w/ the logitech drivers. i have to run a registry edit to get the wheel to work in games, and w/ the the logitech installed, i have problems w/ acdsee. plus, none of the new logitechs are comfortable (i'm partial to the curved ones.. only ms' new wireless one is comfortable of all the ones out there now.. but that's for me).

Go to the store and feel them both... I can't stand the feel (shape) of the MS, the Logitech is absolutely perfect though. 😛

I use both on the same desk with two computers.

To me, the Logitech is much better made and more precise. The Microsoft seems of lesser quality.

really? MS mouse get life time warranty with no question? Wow! apply to the non-optical ones too?
What's the number to call?

I'm pissed that Microsoft did away with the IntelliEye Intelimouse. That's the optical version that had the same shell as their classic mouse that's been out since it replaced the "Dove Bar" shape back in '94. I've gotten pretty damned used to that shape over all the years. I "warranty replaced" one of those mice about a year ago and they replaced it with the Intellimouse Explorer. It's an upgrade to them, but I like the old shape better and it's discontinued! :disgust:

Owned a Logitech Mouseman, but not the optical. Took a few days to get used to the shape. It was about $69.00 at the time I bought it and was well built. For some reason I ended up returning it. Might have been driver related. Can't think of any other reason...

I like the feel and tracking of Logitech Mice. Frankly, I don't care that much about the warranty because I have yet to have a mouse fail on me.

Logitech.

The "lifetime" warranty arguments are really not applicable, since all the Logitech optical mice I've seen (and owned) have had 5-10 year warrantees. You don't need more than that.

I don't know your preferences, but most people I've talked to love the feel of Logitech mice more than MS mice, myself included. The look and feel is just better IMVHO.
