In on this. I hope this works well with my Olevia and my Time Warner Motorola cable box.

my problem with this remote is that is works half of the time. I got it setup so that when I watch DVD, my TV, DVD and A/V receiver would all come on. Most of the time, the TV and A/V receiver would come on and then I would have to press couple more buttons prior to the DVD come on. Same occurs when turn off.

Line of sight. It has to be pointed at everything until the light at the top goes off.

could also have to mess with the timing of the buttons

I thought about that, but "most of the time" sounds like it works sometimes. If it were a timing thing, it would consistently not work. I've programmed a bunch of these, and I've never had to mess with the timings to get the activities or off to work. The default timings for the brand/model are already pretty good. Then again, if you've got a weird brand or something like that, all bets are off.

On second thought, it could be the power settings for the individual devices. In the options menu there is a button to set whether the device is always left on or not. If its selected, the remote will never issue ANY power commands(discrete or toggle) to the selected device.

You have 2 options, you can contact support with the exact problem with as specific a description as possible. ie device responds slowly or intermittantly, too many button presses are registered etc. They will edit the timings for you and all you have to do is sync.

Or you can manually edit them. The new harmony os has a wizard where it asks you whether or not it is responding too much or not enuff and will give you the option of setting a timing scale from 1-5. Note this is different than setting the delays.

I had some horrible issues with my denon recvr which was not responsive at all. The delay setting didnt help and it took some time to tweak the timing to get it to work right.
Also my TV (samsung) is a bit sensitive as well, and it seems when the battery is getting low, it is the first one to stop recognizing some commands. This is usually a good cue for me to change the batteries :)

It controls my Cox issued DVR Scientific Atlanta 8300 perfectly. Especially since you can custom program each and every button.

If you have a question of whether it will control X device, it will work with whatever has an ir sensor.
They have a massive library and it gets updated constantly. Even for some reason its not in there, you can teach it from the remote you have.

The only issue ive ever had is with the stupid ps3, since its bluetooth only.

I got mine yesterday, and I love it.

It took a bit of work to get it to play nicely with my craptastic home theater system, and still a kink or two to work out, but I am very pleased so far.

So as I now look at my package, first question is how in the hell do you open it.

Now one pair of scissors later........think I'll get a knife.

Gonna need to do a bit of fine tuning. Changing the volumn on my Panny is an interesting experience (going up more than 1 level per press and not stopping when button released) and my DVD player does not power done after being powered up.

Other than taking time to learn/adjust each specialized button for all the individual remotes so far it looks to be a good device.

Thanks to the OP. I was hesitant to get one because i didn't think it would work with teh xbox 360 in media center mode but it works perfectly and you can program buttons to do whatever you want. Took awhile to find the model # to my tv...but that was the only pain.

to set it up was annoying. plus i have to use the menus on the screen to play and stuff, not the actual play buttons. you also have to cycle through every damn control option to get to what you want and if you go to fast and skip it, you have to cycle through again.

Then do what I did and limit the LCD control options to just the bare minimum you would use regularly. No need to scroll through tons of screens then.

Are you sure you can't learn the play command and such to the play button?

Yes, thank you OP! I was a bit hesitant, since I already have a Sony RMVL900, which was pretty nice. But man, this thing blows the Sony away! So easy to make changes, just tell it what you want each button to do on the computer, hook it up, and boom, everything does what you want it to do! And I think the best part is that my wife can press one button, and everything goes to its proper setting, and if one component doesn't, she hits the help button, and viola, it fixes it. Great remote, highly recommended, and at $60, it's a steal! Thanks again.
