Its a Gamecube in what sense? The Wii brings a lot of new things to the table, and its not like their asking you a whole lot for it. The Wii adds online capabilities, a whole new control mechanism, and the ability to use larger capacity DVDs. Also, what about iPods, arent those essentially all the same, but they still come out with a new one every year, and so many people continue to buy every revision? Anyway, I think the Wii is awesome, and ill probably end up buying one sometime in the future.

Don't forget the virtual console. Playing all those old classics is a big draw to many.
