LMSM Double Standard. Republicans to be blamed for shut down due to dems filibuster

Pretty sue it is the polls that show the public aren't falling for the GOP bullshit. You can't attach unrealistic poison pills to a bill and then cry when we don't cave to your every whim.

Ironically, I not only want the DHS shut down, I'd like it to go away forever.

No, it was republicans saying they wouldn't vote to fund various federal agencies unless the Democrats accepted additional policy riders unrelated to funding the departments. Before it was The ACA, now it is immigration.

They are trying to block Obamas immigration move by defunding the DHS but the fucking idiots don't even realize that most of the things dealing with boarder security are self funded from fees so Obamas immigration policy will largely be unaffected!

Something that obviously the Republicans could not agree with. The Republicans would filibuster, right? Now then lets say that with Republicans in charge, Democrats say they'll filibuster any spending bill that doesn't include massive gun control legislation. Obviously Republicans won't go for that. If that were to occur, in both situations, it would be the Democrats fault. Because in that imaginary situation the Dems would be insisting on an unpassable poison pill rider being added to unrelated legislation. And THAT'S what the Republicans have done in both these situations.

Do you understand now? If not, try taking your antipsychotic medication first. Maybe mix it with alcohol (especially if it says you absolutely should not mix it with alcohol). Then try reading again. If you still can't accept it, then you are truly unteachable and a lost cause.

Republicans just took the wrong hostage, that's all.

When they took extended UI for millions of unemployed Americans hostage to fat cat tax cuts, they were willing to shoot the hostage.

When they took the full faith & credit of the govt hostage to spending cuts, they were willing to shoot the hostage because higher interest rates on Bonds benefit the true Bush constituency.

They're obviously not willing to shoot their DHS hostage, however. Well, maybe- HOR Teahadists might just be that stupid.

The republicans were blamed because they're full of shit. Someone like Ron Paul gets a pass for voting no to spending because he's consistently against spending. The majority of republicans are not consistently against spending. If Bush wants troops in Iraq, they vote yes. If Obama wants troops in Iraq, they vote no. The way to make an average republican's head to explode is to show him a spending bill without telling him which party initiated the bill.
