well you gotta remember there is a beta out there that over 100k people have played, so i wouldn't say it's all 360 fanboys.

i played the beta and was not sold on the game and i won't be purchasing it day 1, but I'll find it used a few weeks down the road.

i was pretty sold on it as a day 1 purchase until i played the beta also.

Honestly, I don't get. I think it's a unique looking game but I don't understand the HUGE amount of hype surrounding it, like it's the savior of the PS3 or something.

Gotta love whenever a game or system receives criticism, there's always someone screaming it must be coming from "fanboys" on the other side.

Come on, how old are you? 12?

I'd say it's closer to at least 50-50...50% fanboys for each system, almost averaging the score out in a way that the 360 fanboys give it 0-2 and the PS3 fanboys give it 9-10.

It doesn't look like I can read the user reviews, though. That sucks...then it would have been obvious who was and wasn't rating it.

I'd still say that a majority of the people in the beta liked it (more than a 6/10), and that reviewing a game without playing the retail version or the beta is not quite right.

I know I'm picking it up, though. A good review just confirms that it won't be absolute crap, and that it should be fun to play with the guys on my floor....and my girlfriend too, I guess.

kindof like all those idiots that reviewed spore and other games with a 0 because of the DRM.

I played the beta and would give it an 8, it could get up to a 9 with the retail game and if they added some key sorting features. I found it too hard to find great boards outside of the top maps they had. They need a great rating feature.

Dear xbox fanboy, I don't have a Live account I use to cuss at other 12 year olds.

Is there really that much hype? I didn't think there is, but if there is they could be pulling in the wrong crowd.

I don't think most gamers would be interested by a game like LBP. I bet some will by it anyway, though, and then complain about how 'dumb' it is.

EDIT: Also, I love any argument where the word fanboy, or any equivalent, is used. It just leads to funny claims and attempts a jabs that leave spectators in giggles.

Yea most people can't get over the "kiddie" look of it. Reminds me of Wind Waker on Gamecube. It was a great game but people couldn't get over the look of it.

Went into Gamestop today to cancel my GHWT preorder, and talked to my old manager when I worked there last year. He actually tried to recruit me back in to train as an assistant manager, which is what he wanted me to do last year, but they couldn't pay me enough to do that crap. But I asked if they had the LBP Kratos codes incase I decided to preorder. I was merely making conversation to alleviate any awkward moments, and he grabbed one and gave it to me. Said I had it now whether I decided to preorder it or not :).

I've actually considered trying to go back and work part time there again, but not sure I want to put up with it.

Wind Waker ? Wasn't that cell shaded or something ? Little Big Planet is no where near being cell shaded. It has more kiddy themes than kiddie play imo.

Still great all around though.

And that game alone made my wife a Playstation 3 user when we had the beta. Thanks again purebeast0 :)

He wasn't talking about the cel shading specifically, just the fact that it looked a little more "kid friendly". Wind Waker, Viva Pinata, LBP.....all games that look like kid games, but have great gameplay elements that us traditional gamers like and are attracted to.

This game has been getting fantastic reviews and I see a lot of potential for DLC in it. I think they need to add some kind of AI manipulation tools to create enemies instead of just crafting moving obstacles, and allowing the use of sack people as enemies would be nice. Sack animals would be cool too.
