Sonic the Hedgehog - 7/10 - I'd say it is a pretty average kids movie but it's an above average video game movie.

yeah I read about it on the internet. there was a later episode of Breaking Bad where somebody ordered a bunch of pizzas from the same place. they arrived unsliced, some dude said "they save money on slicing and pass the savings to you".

Also, it seems assholes travel all across the country to throw pizzas on that same house years later. The owners are very sorry they ever allowed an episode, much less that one, to be filmed on their private property.
Woah! Slow down, cowboy. If you are reading that much of the lore you've probably hit some major spoilers already!

Let it simmer. :)

Edit, just realized this was for movies... but this show is good for winding down after a tough watch!

Cooked with Cannabis on Netflix - 8/10

Watching with the wife. Only made it 2 Episodes in so far.

If you like cooking shows but the old formula and visually jarring environments are fraying your last nerve, watch this.

- Its a legit cooking show with some very talented cooks trying to do new things with weed and food.
- The show feels like its more about the food than it is some fake drama between the contestants.
- Super chill environment and very loose format allows the hosts and judges to button down a bit.
- Honestly never laughed so much watching a COOKING show.
- Darker, cozier cooking environment than the neon-gore of some other cooking shows.
- A cooking show were people can actually swear, just like I do when cooking.
- First time I've ever heard the expression "slutty" to describe an incredible looking burger.

Some very mild minuses:

- Wish they went into the chemistry of cooking with cannabis a bit more. They defo touch on it from time to time, but its not more upfront.
- The judges are definitely not professionals and everyone is quite high by the end of an episode, which can be very entertaining but doesn't tell you much about the food.
- This can be a plus or minus however you want to look at it, but the episodes have more substance than your standard cooking show and definitely feel less binge-able, but are great for relaxing after watching something super heavy.

Dark Side Of The Ring 8/10

I've been watching this series since it aired, but the most recent episode was titled "David Schultz & The Slap Heard Around The World". I remember seeing this on the news when I was young. John Stossel really comes across as a lying prick, and pretty much admitted insinuated he faked the symptoms from getting smacked in order to get money/get back at David Schultz. I really came out of this not liking him at all.

after watching that epic work of art which is UHF, i dedicated myself to another masterpiece, none other than 1992's
Wayne's World - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105793/

man, this stuff was funny. And, while i love Goldmember, this stuff was creative on a filmmaking level. There's some weird ass meta moments here - sadly most people from this generation won't get the jokes. But if you were 19yo when this came out, this was THE film.
Hans't aged too well, i gotta say. Tia Carrere was a babe back then, today she's just average (great version of Ballroom Blitz though), Dana Carvey looks weirdly creepy in his Garth makeup, and they f* cut the NO STAIRWAY joke !!!
JUST PAY THE F* ROYALTIES !

Anyway, a cult classic, it would deserve 7/10, but due to the cultural significance - this film revitalized the popularity of Queen beyond what anyone could imagine - i will award it an extra little bit and go for 7.5/10

That dude is INCREDIBLE as Pablo Escobar.
why?
he was emotionless.
unless that was how pablo was in real life?

also, Pablo seemed to be a great businessman and leader till he went to jail.
wtf was up with squeezing $ harder and harder from his lieutenants not in jail?
then went off the deep end in paranoia.

did he start developing mental issues while in jail?

Last Man Standing now has as many seasons as Home Improvement.
But I never really loved either show.
I do love Pamela Anderson however.

Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045 - continued review from here

So it turns out I'm a masochist and watched the rest of Season 1 on Netflix (currently 10 episodes). I have a feeling that this series suffers from what I call the 'Evangelion effect', ie. it introduces some potentially interesting ideas, but never actually delivers on any of them, and in the case I ended up being annoyed with myself for wasting my time on it; like a long, rambling story with lots of irrelevance and little conclusion.

So the tenth episode is not any kind of conclusion or explanation of anything. For a brief moment the series looked like it was going to deliver on something that might resemble quality sci-fi, say an insightful analysis on what people and society might become if it had access to xyz tech, but again a teaser rather than anything worthy of note at the end of episode 10.

I was right about the 'Paw Patrol' style graphics, though the Major only seems to get one or two expressions in the entire ten episodes.

Maybe they're trying to appeal to a younger audience (still has a 15 certificate rating in the UK though), e.g. people who haven't ever watched GITS? But then, why bother to have any kind of continuity from preceding series/films? I was going to say, "maybe this would appeal to you if you like xyz elements", but then I can't honestly think of anything particularly appealing or unusual about this new series.

Tacoma FD is actually pretty good especially if you can't get enough of the Super Troopers squad.
Yeah I watch TruTV a decent amount and remember seeing the trailer for season 1 because Quinn from Impractical Jokers was in the first episode, and I thought it looked really stupid and never watched it. Then I caught a random episode and it was really funny. It's stupid dumb humor but it's just funny.

I've watched all of Season 2 thus far other than the past weeks episode. It's on my DVR though and I'll watch it this weekend.

Parks and Recreation special - 7/10
Was OK. Not much plot-wise. But it was fun to see the old gang back together again. Some surprising appearances. But I kept waiting for Tom and Donna to say their iconic line together...

Bloodshot 5/10 - The premise is not bad. The execution sucked.

I'd probably give it a 6 tops. Forgettable action flick. Some OK action scenes but nothing that you will remember two years from now.

For those that don't know, it was based off a comic book. There's a decent backstory of how Bloodshot came to be and a whole comics universe. If done right, it could have been the jumping point for a more mature comics based cinematic universe. Some of them may seem "Marvel-ish" but if you wanted to do the alien space invasion thing with a hero in a suit of high tech armor, you have XO-Manowar. You can dip into the occult with Shadowman. If you want the team-up movie you have the Harbingers. There's also some espionage and action with Ninjak.

Did people have high expectations for Bloodshot or something? I'm surprised how many people have watched it but not surprised by the bad ratings. The only non-FF movie Vin Diesel has been in that was any good was Pitch Black. Everything else has been terrible. The trailers for Bloodshot looked terrible.

I thought the other two Riddick movies were as watchable as Pitch Black. I think they're all no-brainer action flicks and enjoy them all enough to own on DVD.

...except Pitch Black had surprising depth to it and wasn't entirely "no-brainer."

Is it just me, or is the selection of content on Disney+ really disappointing? So far, I've only watched the Mandalorian on it, and... oh, yeah. That's it. If I didn't get a "free" one year trial of this service from Verizon, I would have canceled it a long time ago.

Apple TV+ isn't much better. I think that I've only liked three shows on that so far (Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Mythic Quest).
