Lindsay Graham says he'd go to war for Chik-Fil-A

Some Notre Dame students protested the construction of Chik-Fil-A because they disagree with the company's values with respect to the LGBT+ community.

"It's disappointing to hear some ND students and faculty want to ban Chick-fil-A from doing business on campus because they disagree with the values held by the Chick-fil-A founders," Graham argued. "What a dangerous precedent to set."
He then declared, "I want everyone in South Carolina and across America to know I have Chick fil-A's back. I hope we don't have to, but I will go to war for the principles Chick fil-A stands for."

I really hope Planned Parenthood takes his words to heart and builds a facility as close to his home residence in South Carolina as possible. Because it would be so disappointing to hear if someone prevented PP from helping women with a variety of health issues at little to no cost just because they disagree with the values of Planned Parenthood. What a dangerous precedent to set.

He went to war vs Trump in the primaries.. Now he is Trumps bitch.
If I can have zero Grahams fighting wars for me that would be great.

I would too - it's the only fast food restaurant worth a shit :p

But srsly, I haven't eaten at a MCD, BK, Wendys, etc... in.... shit, 5+ years? As long as I can remember at minimal.

Chick-Fil-A is fucking awesome though. Spicy Chicken Sammich - or the Spicy Chicken Breakfast biscuit is awesome. Plus Nuggets + Waffle Fries.

Chick-Fil-A though is a classic case though of "I don't give a fuck what your politics are" because they continue to sell out the ass regardless of how butt-hurt libtards get of their religious aspects.

They also have some of the most genuine employees with the highest pay+benefits that exist in fast food. So... lol suck it?

Queer politician goes his entire career pretending not to be, then says he'd "go to war" to protect the people who want to discriminate against people like him. In order to score political points in the raging culture war, of course.

Graham is a fucking joke. He says one thing one day and the opposite thing the next. I have no idea why anyone even listens to him anymore.

He should be outed for being gay though. Don't get me wrong. I'm strongly against forcibly outing people. But Graham is a rare exception because he's made himself a public figure and he lies about his stances for personal and political gain. Outing him would end the pretense that he really is the conservative culture warrior that he sometimes claims to be.

It really boggles my mind when companies get tied up in politics and cultural wars like this. As a small business owner I just scratch my head and ask why? It just doesn't seem worth it to tie my business to a certain political or cultural point of view.

The pillow guy is another example. I mean WTF bro you got a good business going making pillows and other shit. Why go off the deep end and start going all political. Hobby Lobby same thing....eh I just don't get it.

Totally agree. Were I a business owner I wouldn't make public comments about politics, at least no under my own name. Why alienate a sizeable portion of your customer base? I suspect what you gain in increased sales to members of your political tribe is far outweighed by what you lose in alienating the other tribe.

Yes, but being indoctrinated in a religion that tells you what to do - what to think - how to get to heaven..... one would think that anyone who is indoctrinated on that would naturally react for that, no?

Personally I don’t agree with Chic a fillet stances, I do give them credit for walking the walk and talking the talk. They are consistent. They don’t cherry pick the easy stuff. They do the hard stuff too.
Back to Leningrad Lindsey. Sounds really strange to hear a gay man say he’s willing to go to war to support chickfillet

"walking the walk" do you mean treating and rewarding their employees unlike any other fast food restaurant chain in existence?

EDIT: Also, hilarious to see in the whole LGBTBBQ movement that people are still looking to shove gay-stereotypes down people's throats as-if to say because Lindsey Graham is gay because "he meets these gay stereotypes that I proclaim gays are". Way to go stereotyping racist/sexist folks lol.

You can call it stereotyping all you want. The man has never been married or linked to any woman in his life. And he's been a public figure for decades. The fact he comes across as gay because he's effeminate just makes it that much more likely. Sure, he might be the "metrosexual" effeminate straight guy, but his totally unknown straight life after being under scrutiny for decades strongly suggests otherwise.

To be clear, I really don't care about it other than the fact that he's obviously a hypocrite.

I thought that to but that doesn't really make sense to me either. Republican or Democrat, Christian or Atheist, gay or straight we all buy pillows and sheets, we all eat food, and we all have hobbies/crafts that we like right?

Perhaps those business' and others do see an uptick in sales because they made their views public but like you said "Why alienate a sizeable portion of your customer base?" or even worse a potential customer who has never shopped with you but now potentially won't because the business has made their views open to the public.

IDK I just don't get it. It just seems like an unwise business decision and counter productive to gaining new and potential customers.

Yes
Plus feeding those that need to be fed and not doing it “after hours” or somewhere hidden to keep the homeless away from families.
Being closed on Sunday as a non negotiable in their lease terms many leases dictate minimum hours particularly in malls because they need consistency and they take a cut of sales
Now this isn’t saying some of their stuff isn’t wrong. I am treating it like a balance sheet.

Regardless of their political stance, CFA is freaking amazing. Good food, great service, and super fast production. All the other FF places need to go there for training.

This is the same type of rhetoric that brought us January 6th. This type of language by our representatives should be met with consequences. Unfortunately only one party holds their reps accountable while the other celebrates the flinging of feces.

So I know the owner of the local franchise through a close friend. Friend of a friend kind of thing. Last year, CFA brought my family supper when they learned my father died of CV19. Anecdotal story, I know, but that combined with their quality of service and their treatment of employees means they get a pass where other, shittier companies wouldn't.

Oh suck a dick.
Graham gets the treatment cause he is a hypocritical piece of shit that has to hide that part of himself because of part affiliation. How fucking sad is that. But hey, if someone deserves a lifetime of torture in the closet I can think of few who deserves it more than Lady Graham.
Same goes with you sucking a dick. Homosexuality is toxic, something disease to your kin.. So you get the treatment too. Cause you are anti LGBT+, anti women, anti color, anti .. So since the words are offensive to you, you get to *have* it.

You sure seem to know a lot about all the other fast food industries, their quality of employees, and how "genuine" they are, even though you self admittingly haven't been into their competitors establishments for 5+ years, or as long back as you can remember. In reality, you know so little, that you don't know that their pay scale, and benefits is equivalent to their competitors.. They also have the least number of locations out of all major fast food chains, which is going to make them appear better because of their limited number of locations.. you know because of the law of averages and basic math. I mean come on, they have a whopping 2600 locations to McDonalds's 39,000+ locations.. Hell, even Wendy's nearly 3 times more locations than Chick o File.. Yet, they all have equivalent benefits and pay...

You are talking to a racist bigoted misogynist, the fact that the owners of CFA hate the fucking gays is a feature not a but to him.

We had a friend that lost his wife. His local Walmart paid for everything at the memorial.. your point? Chick o file does not treat it's employees any better than any other fast food establishment, a simple google search will prove that.

Imagine being a fucking US SENATOR and using that power to go to war for a fucking fast food chain, period, but one whose owners are 100% known to be bigots towards the gay community. I mean the GQP is just a fucking joke at this point.

But hey - lets shit on them as an employer and successful business because they donated to some Christian organizations that I don't personally agree with.

YAY for progressive-ness! Accomplishing things by dissolving things and not doing anything of any substance!
