I would say 95% of it comes from one person the other 4% from another person and the rest is random lash out frustration.
You have the Radical right the Liberal left and the gutless middle
Placate the extremists to win the primary, placate the moderates to win the election.
Placate the extremists to win the primary, placate the moderates to win the election.
I'm talking people who think that when defending your home with a gun, you're more likely to hurt your family than the robber...
People who think welfare cards should be redeemable for cash
People who hypocritically denounce Christianity for its social conservatism yet decry all critics of Islam as "Islamophobes".
People who buy that Trayvon Martin was some innocent, cute little street kid and Zimmerman was some murderous white-hispanic racist killer.
In many ways the Liberal ideology seems to be based around fear of pain, and that anything which reduces pain is a good thing, damn the costs. That's as scary an ideology to me as any social conservitard; and it's reflected rather well on the big stage. Democrats have no spine, and Republicans have no sense.
I wonder how we can find candidates we can truly believe in. The last one I had a lot of respect for was Mr. Wellstone. He had a logical agenda that really made sense to me (no surprise) and he was so dedicated.
I've never heard anyone say that. OWNING a gun is more dangerous to your family than many people realize - but when in the act of actually defending it, never heard that said.
Never heard that one either. Liberals are generally aware of the problems with cash.
That one I can believe there is a small percent, but I expect it's a small percent.
.
It's not hypocritical. What is being attack is mindless, igorant, bigoted hatred of Muslims.
Not only do I have no problem with legitimate criticisms of Muslims - if I could ever find a right-winger who made any - but I have plenty of strong criticisms myself of some Muslims.
I've said before, as fundamentalist Christians are to liberals, fundamentalist Muslims are to fundamentalist Christians.
Fundamentalist Muslims are in many ways like fundamentalist Christians on steroids.
How many Christians forego alcohol and tobacco religiously except Mormons? Christians might go to Church on Sundays; Muslims pray 5 times a day. Most fundamentalist Christians seem to ignore a lot of the bible, such as the teaching to not care so much about wealth and use it to help the poor, while stricter Muslims seem to give a lot of weight to such teachings. Religion seems to play a bigger part in their life than the things like hating gays - but many Muslims do that a lot more too. No marriage? Try jail and execution.
So no, it's not hypocritical - it's rather aimed at those people who just hate Muslims with blind bigotry. The types who do things like fight against a 'Mosque near gorund zero'.
This is the one you have some point on, though you exaggerate it.
I do think that claims of racism are rushed to and could be false here. But then again, let me raise some very legitimate issues with racism and watch them run away.
That's childish name calling and ranting, and full of crap. Liberals are for things like justice and opportunity for people, all people.
Ahh yes, the good ol' Marxist caucus and self avowed socialist Bernie Sanders. I see your true color.....RED!Check the progressive caucus in Congress. Bernie Sanders if you want one name.
I keep hearing that in these discussions. Also
"retarded fu@king liberals," "piece of shit liberals," etc.
I fully support everyone's right to their opinion.
I so far haven't heard this kind of vitriol going the other way though (no "retarded fu@king conservative" comments).
Does the name calling help to make a point? By being so emphatic about disparaging another's beliefs rather than using that space to more fully make one's own point I think hurts an argument.
To me it takes the thrust away from the rest of what's said.
What do you think?
Edit: I'm as liberal as they come.
Their version of "justice" includes letting violent felons out on parole while denigrating those who defend themselves. Their version of "opportunity" means the government gives the poor money regardless of whether they spend it responsibly.
Conservatives vote their hatreds and fears ahead of their own interests.
Liberals vote because, like, you know, it's fun to vote.
Have you missed every debate on Gay Marriage and Trayvon Martin where liberals constantly call people who disagree with them racists or bigots?
In fact it is their primary argument.
that shit goes both ways, it's a symptom of the main reason why America is going down the drain.
also, P&N... have you heard of it?
Ahh yes, the good ol' Marxist caucus and self avowed socialist Bernie Sanders. I see your true color.....RED!
The US was built on the free market and socialism.
LOL...looks like the OP just fell off the turnip truck.
The bolded was my point as well. I just thought the OP's liberal myopia was comical....nothing more, nothing less.Possibly, but he apparently isn't the only one. Many people in this thread are taking one side or the other, when the truth is both sides express tons of vitriol at the other. And while it's possible one or the other is slightly worse no one has compiled data to say that with any certainty.
There is really no reason to take either position in this thread unless you're part of the problem.
