Uhh, no. Looks more like the previous two generations of Accord than anything else.

Afterall, that's what it is...A EUROPEAN ACCORD WITH AN ACURA BADGE!

 It does look like the Accord. Wonder wtf I saw on the highway the other day....

I still contend that the TL looks like a 5 series. I might be cracked out on that one too though.

EDIT: I don't know how you can say it's European... The last time I was in one there was no tunnel in the back seat. ;)

It works well on the SLR, but not on the SLK. The CLK looks bland too..its about as exciting a design as the new GTO...ie: a bar of soap.

And the TL and TSX look nothing like BMW. Only thing they share is the high beltline and the crease that goes with it. But a lot of cars have that now.

AMEN!

whoa...NFS4 agreein with me on cars....The worlds must be colliding! :D

Umm. The TL looks like a bulked up TSX, not a 5-Series:

TL Front
TL Back

5-Series Front
5-Series Rear

I will say this however, the 5-Series did steal the Kia Rio's butt:laugh:

If I would the possibility to spend $100K on a car it would be on a car that would hold its value, at least reasonably, and not drop like a stone.

The only brand I can think of right now is actually Ferrari.....

I would be happy to pick up that new super luxury Lexus as the second owner when it is a year or two old. They make good quality cars but as said before here they don't have the 'carisma' or 'tradition' tied to the name in the same way as Merchedes, BMW, Ferrai, Aston Martin, Maserati, Rolls, Bentley... and so on.

AMEN....

funny how all the rice rocket supporters come out in force....

In response to Madd, Mercedes has a very classic look for all of their cars, while they might be getting a little more aero and less boxy they are still easily identifiable as Mercs, unfortunately with everyone moving to more aero designs they are bound to all have some similar stylistic cues...personally I enjoy the looks of the E class and the C class over any Lexus, Acura or Infinity on the market..it is the little differences which count.

As for Isekii,

With the vette I am willing to let the build slide given the amazing horsepower the car has, show me any japanese piece of garbage that is as powerful stock and or has as much history and "soul" and I will mail you a cookie...with re. NFS comment on the c6 interior I wasn't saying that simply the interior is plasticy but rather japanese cars overall seem like plastic infusions, the silly looking door handles on the 350z automatically come to mind.

You guys can try all you like but personally I will always consider Japanese cars nice a-b cars but nothing worth talking about, all too bland and mundane for my tastes...the only of any interest is the IS 300 and even that isn't great given the boy racer styling.

The old Mercedes up to the previous gen S-class had classic designs. Those are my favorite Merc's ever..specially the onld SEL or SEC models from the 80s.

But the current ones aren't really that classic. Sure they look nice, but they aren't Benz..to me anyway.

As for hte Vette, I too can live with hte crap interior ...I don't think I'd notice it anyway...not with that LS1 and excellent chassis...and hte only interior thing I would play with woudl be the HUD because it is uber-cool.

I work for (well lets just say a very major supplier for Toyota) and I know Toyota is toying with the idea of coming out with a new Luxury Limited for its regular Toyota line, but I haven't heard anything new about its Lexus products.

The Sequia is first and should have a Luxury Limited line in 2005.

Just thought Id note that we just had to take our Highlander in to get repaired, cost $290 incl labor. It only has 39k miles on it.

While our 2000 Silverado has over 65k, and 0 problems.

Dont make filters. Try the MC, fuel injectors, oxygen sensors, instrument clusters, stick coils and navigation syytems to name a few.

BTW. We make no after market replacement products. So the replacement parts you buy are not usually the same ones that have the outragous quality specs that toyota uses in its new autos.

Most DVD based navigation systems sell to Toyota for about $300.

I deal mainly in the Fuel Products Division such as Injectors, Air Flow Meters, and Spark Plugs.

And to keep my job this is all I'm saying.

Repaired for what? Dad has an '02 Highlander Limited with 0 problems. Wouldn't the warranty cover it? Highlander came out in '01...

Not that this matters but it bothers me..

MAKE IN-DASH MOTHA @*u#)(@. If a Corolla has it why the hell do luxury cars not.

ok so it it bothers me

and you can't even switch the damn thing out of a 2002 Q45 without having to spend thousands on it so no aftermarket headunit..must be that way for Mercedes/BMW too.

We didn't buy it from the dealer, we got it used.

I believe it was the "Tensioner Spring"..the car made an odd noise.

Edit: I was gonna edit this and say I hand't encountered jrun during my opening and replying to this thread, but I got jrun on the edit, so I lose.

i was actually talking about the C5.....C6 isn't out yet.

Jamie571: how hard is it to get a job in those supplier companies? I've love to have a job doing some engineering work on NAV systems or other electronics/computer systems in there.

I know, thats what I was trying to make a point of. My Chevy is just as reliable if not more-so.
