With games like watch dogs launching with the console. Success will be pretty easy on day one. It is what happens for the 2-3 months after that which will matter more.

Gaming is on a decline because many games are linear and have no originality. Nothing standout. I bet a lot of older gamers gave up. Its dominated by shooters and shovelware. Kids aren't playing long games with complex story. They want action. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to tell my friend's son that the reason he doesn't know where to go or what to do is because he mashed the X button to skip through a cut scene with important dialog because he thinks reading a story is boring. He has a pile or probably 50 games between ps3 and the Wii that he will never finish because he got stuck when he skipped through the story portion.

That is what the problem is if you ask me. Today's youth is on perminant ADD or something. They would rather play angry birds for 20 minutes, then tap zoo for 10, then some other random junk for a few minutes than to spend any real time diving into a game as complex as Zelda or an RPG that demands your attention and time.
