Sorry for the lack of updates... I forced her to pay $400 for the system, an unfairly low amount but I wanted to get this over with quickly and relatively painlessly. Small claims would have taken quite a while and I wouldn't have gotten much more if I factored in depretiation and time spent in court.

How do you have so much drama in your life? You forced her to pay $400 for a $1200 (PV) notebook? HAHAH. What kind of co-workers do you have? Stop hanging around crack heads.

Sounds more like she forced you to take it up the tailpipe

Similar DESKTOPS go for ebay for $699 or so...i figured it wouldn't be worth the trouble in the end.. learned my lesson, never lend anything out that's worth more than $20!

well at least you got something back. How did you get her to pay you though. Seemed like she was pretty adamant about not giving you anything in the beginning.

It was rough. It wasn't about the money, having her agree that it wasn't a gift was a big deal to me because she was so adament.. I just said that the phone calls/emails/ visits to her apartment wouldn't end until she admitted that it wasn't a gift and at least paid me something... $400 was low but I viewed it more as a token of me being right.

I lent a friend my computer to edit some video work on. I asked for it back last week and now she refuses. She said she had it for a year so it's hers. I lent it to her for a year because she was slow and didn't finish her projects on time and kept on getting new projects. I was being nice but in no way did I GIVE it to her. I need it back and I own it, what are my legal options?

Bang her sister and give it to her good.

I was sadly mistaken when I thought you had a brain

Listen, i spoke to the cops, I spoke to a lawyer even.. There was a 50/50 chance of me getting anywhere in court and it just wouldn't have been worth the time and expense.

When you leant it to her, were you thinking of anything....... else?

Cos if so, there are certain ladies that will probably do your wildest fantasies for a lot less.

Take the rims from her car and leave the car on cinder blocks. Tell her you'll give her the rims back once you get your computer.
