man the servers have been so hosed it was almost an hour wait last night. didn't even bother trying to get in.

That and there's tons of bugs. Flash/blink moves like Lee's and Mao's are broken. People are getting stuck on terrain. Riot has REALLY messed up with this last patch. I hope this is an eye opener for them and they hire some quality engineers. There was some posts I think on Reddit from an ex-Riot employee, and it seems they tend to pay cheap for their labor (they want ENTHUSIASM!). Well, you get what you pay for if that is the case.

Hotfix finally released to fix a number of the bugs.

We have applied a hotfix to the game that addresses several bugs and issues. Here are the changes made:

Fixed a bug that occasionally caused Baron to attack and cast at a faster rate
Fixed a bug where some Champions were occasionally freezing during their jump abilities
Fixed a bug that was causing various Champions to become stuck in walls
Made a change that will reduce the number of disconnects and reconnects that players are experiencing
Fixed a bug that was not allowing players to scroll using the middle mouse button
Fixed a bug that was occasionally selecting the wrong set of Masteries when players used the “Edit” option
Fixed a crash that occurred on the game loading screen

Hotfix finally released to fix a number of the bugs.

Wonder why they didn't roll the servers back....and what's with the "Made a change that will reduce the number of disconnects and reconnects that players are experiencing"

Seriously...Ive had ppl disconnect constantly the entire game. One game 3 ppl dc'd at the same time throughout the whole game and were't on the same router.

It's just really bad.

Why aren't they rolling out the Xerath buffs in the hotfix? I know Solcrushed said they'd do it in the next patch, but the ult changes were a noticeable nerf, I wish they'd implement the rest of the changes in the hotfix.

It has been bad, and I don't know how Riot is going to proceed from this point on. The general forums have been filled with 1000RP posts and people demanding we all get it. Some in a very vitriolic manner. It apparently got to Pendragon as he posted something along the lines of "You are all entitled. You are dogs" or something like it. That obviously set off an entirely different tirade.

To me, it feels like Riot has started to let their incredible success get to their heads and forgotten what it was that got them there in the first place.

That's not at all what happened, I saw the post several days ago. People were demanding RP and he posted "sorry, isn't gonna happen but lets change the theme of this thread to puppies" and posted a picture of puppies. People exploded because they weren't getting RP and said he was implying we are dogs or something. Completely out of context.

Yeah they've made some screw ups but I think a large portion of the fanbase is getting ridiculous.

Anyways, let the insanity begin, Pulsefire Ezreal is out.

Ah well, that's what I get for reading the hearsay posts on the Gen forums over there. I didn't see the original post.

Expect lots of queue dodging tonight as everyone tries to play with PFE.

Finally got me some Pulsefire!

Now I feel like playing ranked/norm draft and just banning Ezreal to mess with people :p

I wish Riot would stop releasing champs/new skins and hire some more engineers and develop or adopt a new engine and "client" already as Adobe AIR is terrible.

Only played one game tonight (which, amazingly, had no Ezreal in it) but I spectated lots of other games and every...single...one had a Pulsefire Ez in it. To cap it off every...single...Ezreal was AWFUL. I didn't see a single good one in all my spectating.

Course, I just saw the very tail end of Game 2 of TSM Evo vs. Curse NA and apparently Aphromoo didn't get the memo because he crushed as Ez, yikes.

curse crushed them so bad. I wasn't a fan of TSM's picks either. Game2 they had almost no cc whatsoever

Orianna buffs - global CD on all abilities lower for faster combos, lower CD on Q but lower damage, increased AP ratio on W, increased cast range and tether distance on E, adjusting values on her passive. Also when the ball repositions her ult goes on a short CD to prevent you triggering her ult after the ball just snaps back to you from being out of range. (Awesome, I love playing Ori but she's been weak after her pure damage nerf)

Nunu buffs - Reducing CD on Consume, raising it's damage at lower levels, and reducing the number of attacks to trigger his passive. All this to make him more viable as a jungler.

Global ultimates (Shen, Karthus, Soraka) are getting longer CDs.

LeBlanc bluffs - Q's missle speed is getting a speed buff (so you can't miss triggering it by using another spell), lowering the CD on Distortion, and if she uses Mimic on Distortion then she can choose to go back to both points (so Distortion, Mimic, go back to point A, go back to point B).

Let's hope this one doesn't break the game for nearly two weeks.

I've no idea why they would buff LB.... Anyway was rolling with a ranked 5s team last night and had a terrible 3.5min queue after which we ended up against some guys in their 3rd placement match who were all 1900-2100... yeah we got rolled hard. I actually managed to invade and steal their red early on but every lane got outplayed and I simply couldn't gank effectively. None of us are below 1380 so it's not like we're horrible players they were just that good.

The truly hilarious part was I played Leona the next game and our other jungler hadn't played skarner recently so he brought up a featured guide on solomid... it was written by the Hecarim who had just trashed us.

They say the buffs for LB are to make her stronger late game. I just see them as making her stronger early game. No amount of number changing is going to change her kit's role and that's what makes her a weak late game champ. I also HATE laning against her and this buff means we'll be sure to see her more.

edit: Also, Riot's officially recanted their "Xerath's ult is bugged" story and are now saying that this was how they always intended it to be and the old instant cast animation was wrong. They just didn't mean to roll it out without the accompanying buffs that are coming. And those buffs? Some extra MPen on his W and 0.1AP on his E. :rolleyes:

i still love playing viktor. so underplayed. his poke is awesome, his Q does solid damage, and he has great teamfighting ability.

He's underplayed because he has issues.

His range is SO SHORT. Which I find to be his biggest issue. This compounds with the fact that his Hex core, gives you SO LITTLE compared to whatever item your 6th sloth would use. This means that you can't really spend much gold on tanky items because then you simply wont have damage output, so you HAVE to go balls to the walls AP. And even then, he drops off damn fast late game because of that lack of a good item.

He needs to be close so his movements are extremely predictable, any many many mages mid can take advantage of that and just pound on Viktor from range. His E is also extremely manga hungry which is an issue. And also with this range being short, hes also SLOW. Slow and short ranged is a terrible skillset. He needs to be in a perfect spot no matter what or you're going to die. Also, if you somehow miss your e or w, you're automatically useless in the fight.

He's pretty fun, but man he has glaring issues that make me angry when I play him sometimes.

Seriously? I knew they would do this, big nerf to the ult, small nerfs that don't compensate for it to some other part of the kit. He should have gotten a range increase on the E, along with a CD nerf to either the W or E, and a slight damage increase. They could also have nerfed the damage on his ult a little and moved it to a charge like system. Maybe then he could be the artillery champ they wanted. AP Kog is how you do artillery. Are they still going through with the mana cost nerfs to him that they had on the PBE (Kog, not Xerath)?

So I played a little bit of Jayce on the PBE. His ult is his weapon switch and you start out with it, but then it levels up like other ults at 11/16 (for the bonus effects you get switching).

Hammer mode -

Q: Leap strike with a slow
W: Passive mana gain on hit, active AOE damage over time
E: Minor knockback hit with a % of max HP damage

Ranged Mode

Q: Skillshot with AOE damage
W: A small ASPD boost
E: Wall that speeds up allies as well as his Q

Switching into Hammer gives you +Armor/MR and you get bonus magic damage on your next attack. Switching into Ranged gives your next attack's target an armor reduction for a few seconds. And every time you switch you get a small speed boost and no unit collision for a second.

It has a rank at 6 too, it starts off as just a weapon switch with very minor bonuses and ranks up to larger ones.

He has a LOT of ad scaling, but I'm still suspecting we'll see a fair amount of AP builds just based on his hammer form W and E (W has 1:1 ap scaling, his E does 20% of target's max health). If nothing else maybe at least a magic pen boots just to make his E do so much more.

I played around with him for a few games and he feels a bit weird but also has a lot of potential with his entire kit.

The really fun thing to do on the PBE though is team killing people as Tryndamere, his spin is bugged and damages your allies :p

I'm thinking he's going to be built bruiser focusing on getting on-hit weapons. Wit's End and Black Cleaver anyway. His ranged W is a rapid fire 3-shot barrage that does 70% less attack damage so it's really perfect for getting up those stacks and on-hit damages. And it has a fairly short CD.

Sounds like you haven't used him quite yet, or didn't read the tooltips :p

It's 70% of your ad at rank 1, at rank 5 it's 130% of your ad at max attack speed (+15% per rank). And yes it's great with Wit's End and BC, however I see him being built the way that Jarvan and Irelia are currently: T-Force and Wit's End for damage, rest is just getting super tanky so you can't be downed quickly.

His kit is versatile enough that he could probably work in just about any capacity, but likely he'll just be used as a top laner that can go ranged and harass opponents, then turn to melee with it's time to brawl.

Uhmygersh, just finished the closest game I've ever played. We were winning in kills (soundly) all game but they were winning in towers. As the game progressed we pushed up and knocked out their mid inhib and both their nexus turrets but couldn't get their nexus. They aced us later and got our mid turret and inhib. Back and forth all game. It gets down to the end of the game, they get baron and kill 4 of us but our LeBlanc escapes almost dead. We killed two but their final three (Galio, Singed, and Teemo) are storming towards our base with a super squishy LB left to defend. They steamroll our inhib and at the turrets LB gets Teemo. Our Ali respawns, they get both towers and he knocks Galio away (who's lower) and he and LB get her. Singed is focusing the tower. Our Janna respawns. LB lands Ethereal Chains and stuns him with ~four hits left on the nexus. Janna ults him into our spawn right as I come back and I get the kill. Now we're frantically trying to kill minions and superminions before they get our nexus. We clear them out with one...hit...left on the Nexus. We push mid like crazy, not even bothering to kill the minions. Straight into their base we get their inhib, their Ez comes back up and ults us but we kill him. Get to their nexus right as Teemo and Vlad come back up, we hammer on the turret but a Vlad ult combined with a relatively high damage Teemo kills everyone but Ali. Ali kills their nexus with one hit left on his health...

Called it a night after that, best game I've ever played. They were actually a really cool group we played against, playfully chiding us back and forth, much fun was had.
