Never, ever burn bridges. Best story I ever heard was from a college teacher. She was one of those (self-proclaimed) feminist/power-women in the 70's & 80's and really worked her way up the ladder at a time when there was a lot of pushback on management gender roles. Anyway, she had a horrible male chauvinist boss that she hated, but bit her lip and didn't burn the bridge when she left.
30 years later, runs into him at a party. He's like hey, I remember you! I have this great contracting job that you'd be perfect for! She took it and I think it netted her nearly $100 or $150K as a side job, all because she resisted the urge to burn the bridge when she left all those years ago. Heartwarming awesomeness :biggrin:
