News LA porn law inspiring more small government efforts

People who hate themselves will be attracted to porn in two ways. They will either seek to experience it as a vicarious means of satisfaction, the need for which arises owing to feeling too worthless to love or be loved, or by people who hate the themselves and hate being tempted by the presence in the world of something they feel is dirty. Meanwhile in an invisible universe that self divided people can never penetrate, the problems and questions about porn are never an issue. When the lover and the beloved are one there's only the joy of being.

Thank God such a world does not exist. If it did I'd be really pissed.

EDIT: Also what is crazy, is I live in one of the three LAST dry counties in this damned state. Commonwealth my ass.
Being honest I truly feel this falls under a states rights kind of thing. Stupid implementation but whatever.
States are now Agency of the Fed IIRC this is his new idear.
Now we need overlap with spikes in VPN subscriptions 😁
I hear there is now porn on Twitter/X and FB seems to be leaning that way also, it appears.

This is the reason KY got the FU no porn hub for you.
The bill also creates a method for a child or the child’s parents to sue for $10,000 per incident where a pornographic website doesn’t verify a user’s age as the bill requires. Additionally, websites that retain users’ identifying information for more than 24 hours after verifying their ages are liable for damages of $1,000 per day, in addition to court costs and attorneys’ fees. Websites that fall under the requirement include any that distribute material that is more than one-third “harmful to minors.” The Free Speech Coalition, the trade association for the adult industry, has previously told the Herald-Leader bills like this “effectively remove anonymity from the internet and expose millions of everyday citizens to the threat of hacking, identity theft and government surveillance.” “There are more effective solutions that don’t require government censorship or put internet users at risk,” Mike Stabile, director of public affairs for the coalition, wrote in an email to the Herald-Leader.

I think PH is right, as far as privacy and security goes. There are probably much worse places people could find horrible versions if they really wanted to try without the VPN.

VPN does work though it seems PH has since the last few years, seems to have alot more stuff that seems close to "professional or prosumer" production.

I just think it's interesting that the great minds in LA think porn viewing is a source of the very many actual problems that this impoverished, uneducated, diabetic state faces and that this is what the gov't needs to be getting involved with.

This is what happens when you let Jesus take the wheel of your government. Just complete fucking denial.
Tom Lehrer: SMUT!

AFAIK there's basically always been porn on Twitter. There's porn on Reddit too.

EDIT: Same goes for random drug tests of elected officials. Just like avg Joe must do to work a minimum wage or poverty level job.

Steps down from soap box.
