Waiting for my Office Burger at Father's Office. Long day. No sleep before the flight and only got a couple of hours of sleep on the plane.

Ok folks, I'm done interviewing and things went well. Before I fly home, I'm going to do some more driving around. What's a good place for fish tacos?

1. Ricky's Fish Tacos (check twitter, usually only open for lunch

http://twitter.com/#!/rickysfishtacos

2. Tacos Baja Ensenada
3. Tacos Nazo
4. Best Fish Tacos in Ensenada

You'll have to yelp these, but RFT > *. Do not go to Rubios, do not go to Wahoos.

I can handle any LA food rec, if you give me a location, time and $$$ figure.

Wahoos is awesome! I usually don't get fish tacos though...the ones at islands are pretty decent too if you get the flour tortillas....their corn tortillas taste like cardboard

Wahoos is decent if you're talking mass produced corporate food, but it does a massive, massive disservice to fish tacos (basically boils down to grilled vs fried)

there is no comparison.

shoulda gone to Oki Dog - hot dog stand in the middle of the hood; a couple of japanese dudes serving up chili dogs to mexicans and blacks all day long.

only in LA.

lol. For real?

dude you should make a list of places to eat for those of us in LA. I never heard of this place before or rickys mostly because I work 8 months without a day off but still.

yup. I love it. I feel they put a little japanese curry into the chili mix which gives it that special something. Best part is they get all japanese with the chili dogs - seriously neatest chili dogs I've ever had.

Oh yeah, the actual "oki dog" is 2 dogs in a tortilla with chili, cheese, and pastrami.

I still feel like I need a bun with a good dog. Do they have buns or is it all tortilla?

the oki dog is the only one with the tortilla. the CCD's are normal. Note that I do not go to Oki Dog for a good bun or a good dog (ie quality dog with casing and snap). I go there for a tasty CCD that's a buck and change. 2 CCD's + fries + large orange bang = success.

If you live in LA I'd get the oki dog once just to try it - it's not my personal preference, but I imagine QueBert loving it

Taco Nazo kills those both. The sauce on them is godly.

There's a corn dog stand in disney california adventure that makes the best jumbo spicy corn dogs. I didn't like pinks either.

South of Oki is the hood...north of Oki is expensive!

Oh and that 60 ft sign should be more like tourist trap wait here in the 6000 ft line.

i live in OC. Great place if you like boring, but luckily pretty much everything awesome is about 1-1.5 hours away driving.

If i could, I'd live in SD....I don't know how its 'cheaper' than LA though, housing prices are crazy. The only middle ground would be the inland empire (and for all the trash it gets, there are really two different inland empires) but then you lose the wonderful coast access.

If I could I'd still love to live in SD...gotta find a company crazy enough to take me :sneaky:
