She is not making any sense. She tries to sound intelligent but she contradicts herself throughout the interview. WoW 0 intelligence.

Just listening to how they talk to each other on the recordings, yeah right, she was just his right hand arm, man, lol.

Do we now live in a world where we can trust nobody? Where there is no privacy?

Interesting view from CNN.

Uno

nice.

I "preached" about this new world, back in ~1997, in front of my high school church (it was a college-led service), in terms of what the internet would mean to us in a decade. Facebook wasn't even an idea. Myspace was barely known:

--lack of privacy
--the end of social interaction/pure isolation in the guise of communication

Got a lot of high fives from the old gentry, and some grumbling from the tweens wanting to rush home to feed their digimon.

go figure.

EDIT: personally, I joke about the shit all the time with my pals and people I know. I don't like the idea that one of them is a Stassi agent.

Then again, I'm not a racist old coot that has created a conga line of enemies hoping to bring me down...so he legitimately has that going against him. Still, this case really is more than what it is--we just won't be allowed to say it.

My money is she was very paid off to do this to him...it's definitely a money grab and has nothing to do with his racist past.

He is getting old and they want to see the team return to new ownership.

She is not the brightest person that's for sure. She even said in the interview she was paid off the books. I hope the IRS takes a good look.

Who would have paid her off? I don't see how this really benefitted anyone.

You really think someone in that position has an ounce of intelligence? She's a whore. A fun toy, nothing more. Why anyone would watch her talk is beyond me. I'm more interested in what the billionaire has to say than listen to his pet.

My wife thinks V. is a shemale. Now I can't see her on tv or the net without thinking that she has a bigger schlong than me... :hmm:

I must be missing something.
It sounds as if he asks her not to bring her other fuck buddies to the games or post it on instagram.
She is the one that constantly starts over skin color or racial issues.
Seems to me he just wants to get laid with a girl that has more boyfriends.

Seems like a movie plot :
Dirty old married man having fun with a young gold digger that has a boyfriend on the side.

I didn't understand what he was getting at with Magic. Was it b/c Magic has AIDS? Was it because Magic used to be promiscuous (and as a result could be banging his g/f = AIDS)?

He didn't delve into that in the interview, but everyone assumes it's simply b/c he's black when it could be other reasons.

This is what i also think. Assuming the guy has prejudice for black people, imagine how much prejudice he would have for someone carrying a sexually transmittable deadly virus. Fear.

According to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, he did "a little bit of research, more whites believe in ghosts than believe in racism." Of course, that research helped him to validate his prejudicial, bigoted and centric opinion.

Again, I am only using his own harsh standard, softened a bit. Sounds especially silly of such a centric person to call the NBA racist, in a league where 76 percent of all players are black and multi-millionaires. Duh-huh?

Sillywabbit and getting paid off the books. IRS is now looking

They picked the right person to bring him down. They ruin Sterling and the 'assassin' destroys all credibility in herself at the same time.

First off those black players deserve every fvcking penny. So this idea that they should not care because they are getting paid is bs. They earn that money. And the employees are 76% black. The ones making the money, the ones that are generating billions in revenue are 76% black. But the ones that are benefiting are nearly 95% non-black across the board.

I am not fully onboard with the force sale stuff, but this dude has gotten away numerous times with this type of behavior, but this time he got caught. To much of this thread wants to point blame and make excuses on anyone and everything else except the only one to blame, Sterling himself.

Depends on what it does to the value of the team. I've heard rumors that someone wanted to buy the team but not for the price Sterling was asking.

True? I guess time will tell.

More BS.

This was nothing more than a typical payback. I don't know how or where you heard these rumors, but Sterling has made it clear he ain't selling and never was.

According to a lawyer on the Fred Rogan show, he will be forced to sell based on the bylaws of the NBA. We shall see if he was correct.

Yes that is correct, but my point was how can that supposed rumor be true if the team was never put up for sale. And no doubt if a NBA team is even being offered for sale even on the down low, it will still leak out.

Oh this is going to be so entertaining.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass released a statement Sunday night in response to Shelly Sterling's comments.

"Under the NBA constitution, if a controlling owner's interest is terminated by a three-quarter vote, all other team owners' interests are automatically terminated as well," Bass said. "It doesn't matter whether the owners are related as is the case here. These are the rules to which all NBA owners agreed to as a condition of owning their team."

In turn, Shelly Sterling's attorney fired back with a statement of his own.

"We do not agree with the league's self-serving interpretation of its constitution, its application to Shelly Sterling or its validity under these unique circumstances," attorney Pierce O'Donnell said. "We live in a nation of laws. California law and the United States Constitution trump any such interpretation."

The question that is going to define this is whether "interest" in the team meets the legal definition of shares or not. And if she truly owned separate shares or if we are referring to her presumptive half of his shares.

I think that is what is going to be interesting. The NBA can have any clause it wants in their bylaws, but that doesn't mean they are all able to be applied. I was certain Donald Sterling was going to fight this; with Shelly Sterling fighting it as well, I think a real court decision might be given.
