Silver has thrown down the gauntlet to other nba owners, "I fully expect to get the support I need from the other nba owners to remove him."
Sterling's gone. There's not an nba owner out there that could afford to veto his removal and risk the vote becoming public. The potential backlash could seal their fate in the league as well.
Sorry, Silver, but it's a shame Donald Stern isn't the commissioner right now. He has far more eloquency and charisma when addressing the media in tough situations. I'd give Adam Silver an "A" for how he's handled this situation, but a "C" for his communication abilities during the press conference. His answers are a bit short and dry and certainly not the brilliant communicator Stern was.
